A Lockheed "Rounder"

I ran into the different engine texture mapping between the original Harpoon D WIP release and the civil C WIP release. I was going to use Nigel's C model base textures as the basis for a "generic" PV-2D in tri color camo and there were problems with where the some of the bits were located between the engine textures of the two models. I've put it on the back burner for now until I can figure out what I want to do and where to go with it next.

As for the panels, I'm pretty satisfied with what I've got cobbled together now using the SOH A-26 gauges.

(trying to "fix" the Wozza FSX Gee Bee Z this morning)

D and C mapping is different because of the nose section requiring a remap of the fuselage. Engine maps are also different between the C and D as well.

If you need the original templates, let me know.

Maarten, beautiful work there my friend :applause:

I have two pictures of these liveries somewhere shown in Curacao but having trouble finding them now. :-/

Work in progress shots of the C60-C57 Military interior... Moving on to the panel bmps next and a fair bit of work left to do in the cockpit... seats etc...

Hi Firekitten!

That looks awesome! :applause::applause:
I'm looking forward to fly your C-57 and C-60, hopefully with an external skin for a Royal Netherlands Indies Army Air Force I am intending to make.

Cheers,
Maarten

That looks really good firekitten! :applause:
Im still working on the L18's cockpit, so it's not quite finished yet. I'll post up some screenshots soon to show how it looks at this stage.

Still have a bit more to do on the VC, the yoke arms and then the panel, etc. Just doing it as time permits.

After 5 years of service from August 1943 till August 1948, KLM West Indies disposed of its two still new C-60A Lodestars PJ-AKA and PJ-AKB on 1 August 1948 in favour of Douglas C-53's. By that time the expressions "pollution" and "protection of the environment" probably didn't even exist.

Cheers,
Maarten

Nice videos Maarten. I noticed on takeoff, tail was up quickly, and no flaps required and still a quick rotate and liftoff.

I am re-posting the C57 and C60A Lodestar package as I have made some minor changes/corrections, and have added paratroop seating in the back of the C-60A along each side.

I have also changed the C-57 to VIP transport with passenger seating.

Now if we can get some military schemes for them, that would be great.

Thank you Firekitten for taking on the C-60A transport and cockpit work. :jump: :applause:

Does not include sounds.

I will be posting the civilian Lodestar L-18 updates later today. Just minor changes and corrections; nothing to affect paint schemes although it does add mapping for the control yokes.

EDIT: Posted here: http://www.sim-outhouse.net/downloads/SOHTeam/L-18-v1.41.zip

This WIP package supercedes all previous Lodestar civilian L-18 releases. (This package does not conflict with, nor replace, your C-57 and C-60A military variants)

This package contains 2 models as before, updated panel folder, aliased sound folder (you will need to re-point to a folder of your choice), and one base template texture folder, flight model files, paint template folder, and an FSX prop folder.

Preserve you current stuff so you can update this package with any new paints or changes.

Hi there,

A few days ago I noticed that the needle of the co-pilot's air speed indicator on panel.60 (2D) of the Lodestar behaves a wee bit odd. This behaviour will be solved when correcting the panel.cfg as shown below :) :
