Quiet but not forgotten, should have variation on a theme posted in the next day or so...Welcome back and hope you had a great vacation!
That's one I happened to see by chance a few years ago - paint looks mighty fine!
Most of the photos I used for reference were taken between 2005 and 12. Somewhere between 05 and 12 the paint job was redone and the depiction of the mallard duck was "upgraded" to a more realistic portrayal. Pity I can't find a better picture of the duck to incorporate.
Just uploaded N98BS for your consideration. Also, next up NC2950
Has any version of the Mallard been released to the public, or are the shots I see posted coming from the Beta Testers only? The downloads area has a lot of liveries, but I don't see an aircraft to use them on.
I thought i released the Fs9 paint kit already for the Mallard?
Ok, thanks. I assumed as much but just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Great job by all involved with both versions.Hi Ed,
There was an FS9 WIP version release for painters back in June I believe. The model is essentially done for FS9 awaiting textures and paint kit.
The FSX native version is of course different, exterior paint maps, full FSX native VC, has more features and effects and will be released about the same time as the FS9 version barring any hiccups.
The FS9 and FSX paint kits will be different and done by different artists.
