These textures depict the Messerschmitt Bf-109D-1, flown by the German ace Werner "Vati" Mölders when he flew for the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. Mölders claimed a 14 from his total 117 victories during the Spanish Civil War. "Luchs" is German for "Lynx". The most common theory behind the name of this aircraft is that Mölders could see as good as a Lynx. Which is why the groundcrew named this aircraft "Luchs".
