NO IMAGE This repaint depicts a Messerschmitt Bf109E-4 piloted by Oblt. Gerhard Schopfel of III./JG 26. On 28 August, Schopfel became Kommandeur of III./JG 26 and, with 20 victories received the Ritterkreutz on 11 September 1940. He became Kommodore of JG 26, which he led from 6 December 1941 to 10 January 1943, and was later also Kommodore of JG 4 and JG 6. Enjoy!
