Douglas A-20G Havoc La France Libre.zip 2024-07-02

This file contains alternative textures for the Douglas A-20G Havoc by by Milton Shupe, Tom Falley, William Ellis, Roman Stoviak, GLH with original Pilot figures by Jan Visser and Bill Ortis (mod'd).

The textures depict the Douglas A-20G "La France Libre" from 670th Bomb Squadron - 416 Bomb Group, Melun-Villaroche Aerodrome, France. As "Miss Laid" this aircraft was the first A-20G Havoc to complete 100 missions without a failure or abort. As the name was not considered appropriate the aircraft was renamed "La France Libre" to participate in a ceremony in Paris to celebrate this accomplishment on November 4th 1944.

The repaint is based on the excellent paintkit by William Ellis, which was converted for PSP7 by Steve "Stalin" Baldwin.

Enjoy,
