🤔 Was There Ever An "UnOfficial" SOH Airfield (In the likes of 'Emma Field')❓

Even seaplanes could use Meigs, there's a pier next to the runway!

I think it's what makes Meigs the best all around 'unofficial' Field for our purposes. You can even get a 727 in there...

Over at FlightSim.com we did a 'mini' Challenge where you'd fly a Tubeliner there and put it down on 36. I'd think you could get most any Warbird in there with a little bit of skill. :)

EDIT: Or else, someone build a WW2 style Bomber strip somewhere on the Great Plains for both Legacy and current Platforms with a Hangar or two, a 8th AF style Tower/Admin building and a couple of Quonsets for Crew Quarters. Add a short Grass runway for Biplanes and Sport planes, too.

A "bit" bumpy :) Wonder if any passengers in there?

Flight Crew and a couple Luminaries, if I'm not mistaken. It was her last Flight before she was dismantled, trucked into the Museum of Science and Industry, and reassembled. The Museum is very close to where Meigs was located.
