Hi good people,

Yep, Ed and I are still at it on the great Ford Tri-Motor Project adventure. Another 18+ liveries added for the great little Vega 5 aircraft. For an aircraft that Ed wanted to use in a support roll for his Ford Tri-Motor Project we sure are pumping out some pretty mean detailed liveries across a vast range of historical users of this little history making aircraft.

Thanks mate, Ed and I are putting in some serious effort to make this Ford Project a meaningful and hopefully enjoyable FREE package for all to have some sim flying fun.

Myself, like many others, was not a fan of the "stock" aircraft of FS2004 - with their various limitations, from a painters perspective - however, as we, Ed and I, move closer to 800 liveries overall for the Ford and Vega I have become intimately familiar with the vagaries and limitation of the templates and have been able to push the boundaries far beyond the expected norm for repainting these girls.

I would even be so bold as to suggest that this is by far the largest collection of FREE liveries for those two aircraft that can be found anywhere on the net. And brazen enough to suggest that amongst the plethora of repaints some are probably the best there is for these aircraft - better put my humble cap back on :wiggle:

Vega Liveries

Thanks for the continuing effort on the "Ford" project Gary and Ed! I think that you guys may have more Vega liveries than Carter's got pills.:salute:
 
I too would like to thank you for the great Vega Liveries. At this rate we'll have more liveries than there were Vegas!
Interesting tidbit: the 'True Story' Vega was specifically made for an air race from New York to Los Angeles. IIRC it was the only Vega fitted with an R-1690 Hornet (as opposed to the R-1340 Wasp. I saw pictures of the wreck. Amazing the occupants survived.:isadizzy:
