View attachment 47585... well, specifically the Hawker Hunter!
Dave Garwood's Hunters are still one of my favourite toys in FS9, a great representation of the classic British jet. It is another example of a 50s fighter that expanded beyond it's original role as a fighter, to become a versatile fighter-bomber, recce aircraft and trainer; it was still serving with the RAF/RN into the 1990's, and still serves as a front line fighter with the Lebanese AF - there are more than 50 Hunters worldwide also serving with civilian organisations, some on military contracts and one with Embraer as a chase plane.
Some time ago he supplied me with a couple of models that had not been part of his original release package; one of these was the Hunter FR10, the fighter recce version which took over from the Swift FR5 in 1961 until replaced by the Phantom in the early 1970's. I've finally got around to putting virtual brush to virtual airframe, and have got some wip pictures of my first 2 Sqn Hunter; I'm planning to paint 3 from this squadron, to cover the variations in markings throughout the 1960's, as well as some of the other squadrons that used this aircraft - I'll then be able to put the results here in the Library, as Dave has kindy given his permission to distribute these models.
