and that reminds me to drag my ass there one of the days.... :icon_lol:

Well worth the trip Matt, the Research & Development Collection has some really historically significant aircraft; another museum to do, if you haven't yet, is Newark, again some real gems there.

Racartron, thanks for the great job with the Shockwave lights, I'll enjoy adding those in tomorrow.

Here's some screen shots of a Omani two seater I did for Dave G's aircraft some time ago.

John, did you ever upload it anywhere? I've been looking in all the usual places for Hunter repaints over the past few days, and I never came across that one.

And what conclusion did you reach about the greys? I'd be interested in hearing your views.

Phew, I'm done!! I need to sort out a readme file get it zipped up, then I will upload it to the Library - but it is late here, so that will have to wiat until the morning.

Just to confirm, the initial release has the two previously unreleased Hunter FR10 models, 1 clean and 1 with tanks. There will be five paints included:

- Three from II (AC) Squadron, showing some of the variations in Hunter schemes during the 1960s
- One from 8 Squadron, based at Khormaksar in the early 1960s
- One from 1417 Flight; this took over the recce role from 8 Squadron, which then concentrated solely on ground attack

Still to be done are 79 Squadron/229 OCU, 4 Squadron and probably a couple of export Hunters. And then I can start looking at the other marks ....... :icon_lol:

Thank you to you [and Dave] for the FR10 model and repaints. I did a 1417 Flight paint for my own use a couple years ago, so it is nice to finally have the correct model for it!

The thanks are all due to Dave, my own efforts are rather modest.

That's a nice repaint, any chance I could get a copy? I want to try to put together a small AI package for the "Radfan Hunters", your repaint would be a great help.

Certainly. I'll give it a workover to put the proper letters on - JD vice my fictional WS, and replace the 1417 pennant that was shamelessly stolen from Dave's T7 with yours if that is OK. Any additions for Khormaksar are appreciated! Peter McLelland's 208 Sqn and a 1417 Flight FR10 on the line together may not be entirely correct, but it's good enough for flight sim!

My 1417 was "shamelessly stolen" from the same source, but I did tweak it a little with a better squadron badge.

Additions for the Khorm flight line? Watch this space, I've got plans to really fill it; and Ian Elliot is working on Sharjah, so this could get interesting. :jump:

Hi mate, excuse the 'hijack' its (paint) over at Flightsim for the X version...( drat!! )

VaporZ also did some Qatari paints; but I can't find those anywhere either!!

All of my Hunter repaints are up at fltsim.com. The Omani file name is
htoman.zip

It's for Dave G's FSX model which is available at BritSim.com. As far as the colors, I assumed the Omani's still had some ties to the RAF, so with that assumption and a little utility I have called Color Pix(google it), I just wagged it.

Feel free to 'hijack' any time Pete, it's an open forum & the more contributions the better. It would be nice if we could track down those Qatari paints; were they FS9 or FSX?

Thanks John, I'll check it out for my FSX install. So still need to keep that one on the list for somebody to do in FS9 then.
