68th Sentai in New Guinea - 52 missions covering operations of the Ki-61 equipped Japanese fighter unit over New Guinea in 1943/

This CFS2 campaign tries to tell the story of the 68th and 78th Sentais of the Japanese Army Air Force in New Guinea. These two units were the first to operate the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter. It begins with the deployment of the units to Rabaul in April 1943 and ends with their destruction at Hollandia a year later. In between you will fly fighter sweeps and bomber escorts over enemy bases and defend your own bases against attacks by an ever growing number of Allied aircraft.

I´ve just uploaded a new campaign, 68th Sentai in New Guinea, in which you can fly ACWai´s great Ki-61 Hien over UncleTgt´s beautiful New Guinea scenery against a variety of Allied aircraft.

Thanks very much Wolfgang - you make great missions. I'm glad to see UT's latest New Guinea scenery put to use. :applause:

Skylane and others:

Where can I get a Scenery.cfg For these missions. Iuse it for a guide in setting up the missions. Any help will be appreciated.

Mack, just add the required sceneries listed in the readme in the usual way via the scenery library. No specific order is required.

Mack,

It's a guess, but I suspect the sounds.

To keep the filesize down I aliased the sound to the stock C47_Dakota. If you don't have the stock C47 in your install, it won't display.

Alternatively, just copy the sound folder contents from the C47_Dakota, or put some other sounds in place.

Tgt: For some reason the Mld file is being dropped. Mack

Well I can't see how I can help. I can't reproduce the problem on my system, maybe it's hardware-related, maybe it's a bad download, maybe it's your graphics card. Just saying the mdl file is being dropped doesn't really describe the issue.

Some more detail would help narrow down the problem.

I'm assuming you get the message when trying to load for Quick Combat or Free Flight, so I'll go & check the mdl has "crashcheck" & "g-lightstates" removed, but it shows up in the aircraft selection screen just fine for me (WIN7 OS, NVidia grafix)...

As MAV made this model multi-LOD for CFS2, maybe he can guess what the issue is.. :dizzy:
