A definition of insanity

Good morning Priller,
you just did "put the point over the i" The new sims has become so complex that the possibility for freeware developers has "reduites commes peau de chagrin" as you live in belgium you certainly know the term and can translate it.
But when I look on certain commercial add ons, I have in mind a special one bird, aie! They had the bird to examin it make photos and so on. The outcome - hummm. Yes I am not objective as the cockpits of german planes with their gauges are my special domain.
But what have they done? It correspond to none of all the offical documents avaible for this bird and some gauges are pure fantasy.
That is also a big reason for me to love the venerable FS2004 as it leaves place for those developing is still a hobby and not a reason to make money.
I will not bore you more with my opinions. AS in most times when we take two extremes FS2004 on one side and MSFS on the other, the truth might be somewhere in the middle.
I recognize that every sim has his particular advantages and disadvantages
The main thing is that with the sims we use we can fly birds that in real life only a few would ever have the chance to fly with.
Keep them flying

It's just that there is no way to run both 2020 and 2024 together. I've deleted 2024 and now 2020 is running beautifully.

2024 is graphically brilliant, but functionally an effing disaster.

I have FS2020 and FS2024 on the same system. What makes you say they can coexist. I have even had them both running, with aircraft on the ground once….i did shut that down quickly though because it did make my PC go into hover mode because the fans were running at MAX
.

I do agree with Lou, that in order to at least be able to live with FS2024 at this point you do need external apps. First and foremost one to setup your controls and remove all assignments from the sim. I have been a FSUIPC user for ever, but I must say SpadNxt has won me over.
It doesn’t fix all of the problems of 2024 of course, but at least for me it makes it bearable to fly the occasional sightseeing flight.

However I have never been so disappointed with a new FS version as this one. Not even the buggy FSX prior to the service release 🤣🤣

Let me rephrase: There is no way to run 2024 and 2020 together on my rig. Don't ask me why, I just know it isn't possible. Believe me, I've tried.
