A Lockheed "Rounder"

Up for fresh air!

Is that FS9 or FSX? Is it freeware if FS9?

Gauge needles and switches ... maybe something can be done in the gauge itself for night light. Dunno, I am not a gauge designer. I am trying to cobble together the best I can with the gauges in our inventory. I can change gauge code, no problem; I can assemble panels; I'm just not an xml coder although I understand most of what's going on.

Thank Gawd for that Sir...glad someone around here does! :isadizzy:

Ah yes; I have that awesome aircraft. Just never flown her at night I guess. :)

I looked at how he implemented the gauge needles and switches and the night lighting is done with a night bmp for each gauge and needle to show the green. Simple to do but I'm no texture artist. :)

Yeah, thats what I keep saying too, but no one ever listens! :kilroy: You might try: "I'm colour blind" or "don't have a paint program"...that should convince them.

Frankly Milton, I've been flying this panel for 3 - 4 days now - it's already downright AWESOME!
Much more realistic and m'legs'll be turning jelly before I even fly this thing.

Oh well...time for me to go back to finishing thingamybobs on the whatsit!

Would be neat to edit a copy of that page and relace the labels with legible ones.

Otherwise, just list them top down, left to right.

Thanks

Here is a first cut at panel night lighting, white and red. Now, on my setup, I can read either one very well.

EDIT: For those who have trouble reading it, I can provide a brighter version of each if desired.

Gear Up Down Timing Help

We are looking for a video or something that would give us a sense of length of time to extend/retract the gear. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm Colour Blind and don't have a paint program :icon_lol: .... can i have a day off from my PC? :icon_lol:

spent the last day and half configuring and setting my Laptop up (2nd hand, formerly my mothers, she got a new one so i liberated her old one and wiped it clean, My PC will remain FS9 and Texture work, the Laptop is now my FSX Testing rig, don't worry.... FS9 is still the better sim :wiggle:

right time to sort the fins out on this Dutch Harpoon and as Queen say.... "Another one bites the dust!", bringing us to 5 completed 'base' paints; Blue (PTO), Metal, Olive Drab, Yellow, and Dutch, in planning stages (for release on my site post-release, and a couple for the pack) are a further dozen, including some 'bush' style paints for hauling the lighter cargo around and some general 'civvy' schemes...

still 0149GMT and as usual i'm still up and nose deep in photoshop :salute:

Hey Matt, great to hear you have an alternate, and a backup now for each system :)

I really appreciate all the paint schemes. Mostly can be mix and match with the varaints of folks don't mind some of teh subtle shading for missing hardware ... like dirty from when it was there. :)

We have 6 variants now.

the panel lights shown above, appear very readable "here" also. nicely done ..!!

On my LED 32" 1080P HDTV being used as my monitor at 1920x1080, the white lighting is completely dark, except for one very slight needle, (I think.) The red shot appears to be all there, but not readable on my monitor.

Thanks guys. NIce to know others can see it as well as I.

I do look for more feedback so we can have a good cross-section of opinions from people with different setups and eye limitations.

Both look good to me too, Milton. Even the dreaded red. Now, if only you could help me see better when I'm flying, and driving, at night. ;) Thanks.

Pat

Matt, which variant is getting the whitewall tires?

Any plans for the tri-color (dark blue top, light blue with white underneath) paint scheme?

I can have a brighter option for those who need it.
