A Lockheed "Rounder"

Waiting for textures from Matt ...

Meanwhile, I am working on the Republic XP47H and the S2Turbo ConAir civilian version using the PT-6As, the Dash 7 interior mods to finish up the textures, and a flight model for the PB4Y for Tankerguy72, and the Rockwell 690B.

oh boy... me being the holdup again.... Milton, eye op in 5 days, after that i'll be doing nothing for a week or so i imagine, interior is still very 'beta'... outside i'm kinda happy with, maybe a few more scuff marks here and there but as i say only really interior left to be doing... and what with the eye... solid points of colour are great but the second i touch the opacity sliders the darn bits seem to disappear completely :icon_lol:

....i hate my eyesight right now! :blind:

I am not pushing you; take care of yourself. I have plenty going on; no deadlines here.

Matt,

Health is paramount. That includes of course your eyes. So please give your eyes the rest they need and, following surgery, do as the specialist advises/urges/insists you to do to have your eye properly heal and your eyesight back to normal. Don't hurry in any way. We'll be happy to wait till all is clear for you again. (right guys?)
Take care mate!

Cheers,
Maarten

Yes, Absolutely! We can wait, it gives me something to look forward to. However, I'm curious how a guy who sleeps 8 hours a WEEK is going to keep busy and rest his eyes at the same time :icon_lol:

No trouble waiting here either. As always with a Milton Shupe project we know it will be worth the wait, no matter how long. And ones health must come before a somewhat silly hobby at all times.

Cheers
Stefan

Good luck with the eye surgery. Hopefully they'll be better than new when you've healed up. Besides, it's not like you couldn't use the break anyway.:)

8 hours per week... sounds about right... all honesty i'm lucky if i get 3-4 hours per night... 3 dogs that don't know how to shut up, 3 other family members who don't do anything when the dogs start moaning about something, or play-fighting up against my bedroom door... would be great to get a full nights sleep i tell ya :icon_lol: then during the day there's no chance of sleep due to outside noise, constantly being asked to run errands etc... in many ways FS is my only 'break' time i get to myself, the Meteor i've been working on recently has been bliss as if i get disturbed they see the wireframe and me moving things around, and a somewhat agitated look on my face that makes others clear off sharpish because they know the 'fiery' side of me :icon_lol:

rest assured i'll be doing everything i can after my eye is sorted, although i give that about a week of actually doing as told before my mind flips back to full time work mode :icon_lol:

Announcement

Uh hum! (icon:you know who's embarresed cough:icon)

This wonderful aircraft now has a voice, compliments: Messrs Pratt & Whitney.

well.... some progress has been made.... i'm now happy with the flight deck..... plus i've been up to my usual tactics of winding up Base C/O's :icon_lol: just rear cabin section remains really....

Wow Matt! That is real world quality, even better!:applause::applause::applause::applause:
Spectacular!!
By the way: How did your eye surgery go? I certainly hope all will be fine soon.
Thank you for all the great work.

Cheers,
Maarten

So THAT's what ATC was all wound up about the other morning... you chasing gooneys and dingos off the runways with the ol' Harpoon. Geez... I go in to get the final on me flight plan and this bloke starts yellin' all over the place. lol! :icon_lol:

<-- Ducks and runs for cover

The interior looks GREAT, Matt. Hopefully you get things sorted with your vision soon. Don't over do it, mate. :salute:

went fine, got let out a few days early thanks to some contacts of mine agreeing a few bits with the docs, now it's just regular check ups and taking things easy on the old mark I human eyeballs.... so i'm balancing things out at the minute, taking regular breaks to avoid eye strain etc...

needless to say my 'taking it easy' is most peoples idea of a hectic day :icon_lol: but i'm glad you are all liking the Harpoon work, it's become a real joy for me to fly around checking the angles, making notes... literally even if i don't fly it i open the door, hop in and take a look where and what i could do, note it down then continue the inspection, i think to break up the interior that bit more i'm going to add some 'wing walk' compound to the central area of the fuselage so if it's damp you're not all going to be slipping over.... :salute:

gooneys and dingos? noo.... was in Greece with it at my usual testing site (LGTG - Tanagra AB) and us Greeks and aircraft are a maddening mixture... HAF F-4E and RF-4 pilots regularly fly down between bushes (Ask Nigel, i had some friends in '338' and '348' do some tree blossom removal for him, for which i think i made his wifes sh*t list, or whack with sturdy pan list :icon_lol:),also chasing Turkish Jets out of airspace twice daily (best average) and then there's the little matter of Red Flag... as i recall reading a flight of HAF F-16's got bounced by the Aggressor vipers... the HAF Vipers were loaded in self defence/SEAD and sent the USAF Aggressors packing 17-3 :icon_lol:

we know how to fly, not my fault the base commander didn't think it was funny with me flying along with inches of blade clearance there :icon_lol: just one sneeze, hiccup or cough and it'd have pancaked at a good speed (flew most of a wing-over prior, after heading off the end at a 45* angle to the runway, typical demo stuff... and made my pass at high speed (just shy of overspeed at an altitude where you'd have to lie down and suck it in, to have any blade clearance anyway) :icon_lol:

LOL!!! I love it! Keep up the "tree blossom removal", but ring me up ahead of time.... I'll keep the sturdy pans away from yer noggin. Besides, I want to be there to see it.

OMG! (as they say now) That VC is looking awesome. Can't wait to fire this one up. I'm thinking this may be the best Milton Industries plane yet, and that's saying a lot!
