A Lockheed "Rounder"

Thank you Gentlemen :)

I have been busting on the Lodestar 4 VC panels all day and getting all the right gauges sized and positioned and making decent progress there. I am trying to keep the gauges as close to the original as possible, keeping in mind I do not have a gauge programmer anymore but a good inventory of our XML gauges over the years. I need to play with the underside of teh overhead panel a bit but this is getting close.

Then I will move on to other parts of the cockpit to finish that up.

Anyway, here's the current status of the gauges (without bezels at the moment), large and easily readable hi-res for the main and knee panels.

Looking forward to mapping all this for textures maybe next week.

EDIT: and BTW, this is for the civilian version.

Love the way you polished up those clear blue enameled "Lockheed" ornamental covers on the yoke wheels, Milton. LOL...

This is going to be another beauty.

Actually, I posted that here by mistake and meant for that to be in the L-18 thread. :-/ But it did sort of respond to those who await for the other Lockheed variants. :)

TG you really have a way of framing your screen shots, aside from the fact your texturing skills aren't too shabby either! Lotta folks would swear that 2nd shot, from 8 o'clock, is real. Great shot, great angle and lighting.

Great looking plane and paint!!

Steve

Love the distressed paint appearance. The missing panels are an inspired touch. I'm always amazed by the way our eyes can be tricked into seeing "3d" effects. It really looks (to me) like you can see into those "openings."

Very Nice TG!! And quite different from what we're used to seeing in FS, "Cleaned, spotless, factory fresh paint schemes" and an occasional dirty, weathered F-14A Tomcat here and there. It looks like that plane sat in the elements for a long, long time. But someone climbed into it, turned the key, tapped the gauges, primed the carbs... started her up and took off. Says a lot for the ol' Harpoon/Ventura design.

More Harpoon Liveries by Martial FERON

Martial has been super busy grinding out 4 new beautiful liveries for the FSX Harpoon port over. :jump:

He sent these two weeks ago and I am just getting the time to review them in FSX.

Not sure when these will be available yet although they work fine on the WIP release.

Thank you Martial for sharing your outstanding work. :applause:
