A Lockheed "Rounder"

Is there a keystroke for the yokes? I am , admittedly, flying in FSX/p3d. Can the yokes be made to appear?
If I failed to read the manual on this point, apologies!

For the Harpoon:

The spoiler key (/) or slash key should unhide/hide the yokes.
That and other things were in the Operations Controls I think in the Documentation folder.

EDIT Here ya go:

Some of the Controls to know about are:

1) The slash key (spoiler key in FS9) hides/unhides the yokes
2) The Wingfold command (shift+f in FS9) opens cockpit windows
3) The Tailhook command (shift+t in FS9) opens the console panel
4) The bombay or torpedo doors are opened using shift+e, then 2

All other FS commands function normally.

The tailwheel lock is on the right side of the ECU.
The parking brake set is on the left knee panel.
The Cowl flaps switches are on the right side of the ECU.

Very good work Martial! The scheme looks great!
I have to say though that some of the VC does look similiar to my own work though as it seems to look like it has been improved on! The cabin looks great also.

thank you all for your encouragement.

Marty

Some people seem to enjoy looking at the wire-frames of these models so I took a few screenshots to share of the PV-1 Ventura when I was working on it.

Early work in progress on the cockpit, need to do some more work on the floor and window frames, panel bmps too, but she's getting there.. (all the rear is done)

The Ventura VC's looking great Rachael, I like the sidewall textures.:applause:

Is there going to be a solid nose PV-1 version as well?

Here are a couple of scanned pictures of a RNZAF PV-1 Ventura NZ4563 on a cross country training flight, showing the wear and tear on top of the wings. It had the 4 tone paint scheme, on the leading edges of the wings and horizontal stabilizers is a dull shade of sea blue, a darker sea blue on the top surfaces, intermediate blue sides and white undersides

and a colour photo of a NZNAC Lodestar at my home airport in 1951, an all grass airfield at the time. It still looks a beautiful place today, much of that scenery is still there except that there is now a sealed all weather runway and Dash 8s flying in and out every day!

Kia Ora Mark,

Saved the NAC Lodestar photo on my hard disc for the repaint I want to make. The biggest problem I have yet is to find the proper Royal Mail - GR logo. I might have to draw the letters GR myself. :/

Cheers,
Maarten

Kia ora Maarten, youre welcome. Sorry I can't find good pictures of the Royal Mail GR logo, (King George was the reigning monarch at the time hence GR) but it looks like you can get an idea of the shape and outline of it. It looks like it has some yellow color inside the top of the crown. BTW, the Lodestar is ZK-ANB, formerly C-60 NZ3509 in the RNZAF. The registration letters ANB on the starboard wing were a dark blue with a white outline.

Thanks a lot, Mark! I just noticed Ferondoe has made a fabulous:applause: repaint of NAC Lodestar ZK-ANB and uploaded it in the SOH library. Which of course won't keep me from having a try too. Still on my to-do list but not at the very top for the reason just mentioned. :)

Mark, there are no plans for a solid nose version, just the early glass nose.

With modeling differences inside and out, mapping, and texture differences, I just didn't want to make the time to do that.

Maybe some time in the future when I'm in another "waiting" phase. :) The same kind of thing that produced the Ventura in the first place.

I noticed Ferondoe's repaint too. The wing details arent quite right, probably due to a lack of info on the wing details as most photos dont show the wings very well. Nevertheless it is a great looking repaint!

A bit of history about NZ3509; it was the first British Allied aircraft to land on Iwo Jima, and also was the first British Allied aircraft to land on the Japanese Mainland.

Hi Milton, that's ok, I thought you could just blank off the entry into the nose and take out the glass and roll it out :)

If we are doing criticism, let's be constructive about it. Provide details and pictures if possible. Marty has always been good about correcting issues.

I can be critical too, of myself.

There is not a single part on any aircraft that I have ever done that is perfect, not even close; not one single part of over 1200 parts in the Harpoon, the Lodestar, or the Ventura, that is anywhere near right. They are just "likenesses". So how can anyone do a perfect paint on an imperfect model.

Hello,
If there is any problem on the texture of NAC made me know so that I correct. I've noticed that the font used on the wings does not match the picture broadcast in color on this forum. It's always difficult when you can not find pictures to be more precise on textures. I will correct this defect.
Regards
Marty

Hi Ferondoe, merci beaucoup, I've sent you an email.

For Maarten, here's a closeup of the Royal Mail logo! Sorry it's a wee bit fuzzy...
