PERFORMANCE TEST OF ROLAND D-VI-B WITH BENZ ENGINE
Official Performance Test - Summary of Results
....
It is very difficult to keep the engine from overheating at low altitudes. Even in
moderate weather it is impossible to fly with the upper-engine cowling in place. In
addition, there are no radiator shutters, making it difficult to keep the engine warm on a
glide.
