A very basic Question about controls

Hello and seeking advice from the old hands here.

I just loaded up CFS2, and got the question...which control set up do i want to us? Combat or FS? Any advice and can anyone tell me what the differnces are? Which is preferred?

I have a joystick which i hope to use, a Logtech Extreme 3D Pro, so that will free up some keyboard commands, but i would appreciate guidance from any willilng to offer it :) thanks

and I may also hope to change some of the load screens, i find that the style of the graphics is, well interesting but i would rather have some nice actual plane pics? if there are such packs?

thanks again,...back to research :)

Well CG, ...

The default CFS2 is prob the place to start.

That way, ...the F2 "help" key will apply.

After that, ...the question is...

...2D or 3D.

I fly exclusively 3D (ex. for heavy bombers and bomb-sights), ...and use the Logtech Extreme 3D Pro, ...so I can help ya w/ a lot of the 3D set-up.

2D, ...?

3D is my vote...so any help on suggested settings for the Log Tech are VERY welcome! :)thanks a lot for the suggestion re the controls. I have the original big box set with the Combat Flight Sim 2 WWII Pacfitic Theatre handbook and then a huge phone book sized 312 book by Jeff Van West with the same title, so i got lot of data here, but was not sure the diff for the controls. I also have FS2004 installed and CFS3 standing by but the mods and the great work done for CFS2 looked really nice esp as one of my interests is the Pacific TO and naval and naval air. So the 3D info will be very welcome.

Dirtman!!!! thank you so much.
i will memorize now...

and

i love your loadscreens, are those custom?? or can i dl them somewhere?
the comix themed ones are making my eyes hurt :) thanks again

I hate the cartoons too ..... but the screens in the pics are stock CFS2.

But if ya want a GREAT PTO screenpack ..... try this one - make sure you get the patch too (lower on the page)

Find it here: http://www.konnek-t.com/Info/cfs2-index.html
