A very special preview that's sure to excite

Ya. Its possible with how I mapped out the mass balancer, just not to that detail as its such a small object.

The ironic thing about it all is there is no need for a mass balancer on the elevator. It was forced onto the design by a pre-war committe! There already is a mass balancer hidden inside the rudder's on each side of the elevator. The external one is just for looks and can be removed without hindering the performance. The thing is, that teardrop shape on the elevator is now iconic to the P-38. It just looks wrong without it.

Fantastic. And the nicest thing is that I'll have the chance to see the Red Bull/Flying Bulls P-38 Lightning performing at Sanicole Airshow tomorrow. I really can't wait, both for the airshow tomorrow and this aircraft. It's been a while since I have flown in FSX - due to low in-game performance after installing REX 2, guess this old pc is really too old after all to run it decently - but this is one that will definitely get a place in my virtual hangar :jump:! Excellent work everyone!

While thinking about the repainting of the P39 i reminded myself that we included a version that should really simplify the process in the form of a <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
" Factory Fresh " P-38 L .

David Copley mentioned that all the L versions were shipped unpainted and the squadron markings were done when they got to their destinations, so a brand new L is included that will be a breeze to paint in the markings of your favourite outfit directly on the bitmaps with only two used, as well there were a couple of other features that are included , like functional Rockets and 500 pounders with sound and effects upon deployment ( The Machine Guns also ) .

It's an 'ordinary' (I don't think there have been any Lightnings in the Belgian skies during the last ten or fifteen years or so) flying display, but I'll post the pictures here. If they're any good, that is, the latest weather forecasts don't indicate really good weather for an airshow but it's in Belgium and it's already late in September, so it is normal, maximum temperature 22°, min 12°, cloudy with possible precipitation and/or thunderstorm. But I'll see what I can do.
Mods, sorry for going slightly off-topic :kilroy:...
