A2A P-40 Warhawk (accu) now released (payware)

I haven't got this one yet, but I've got the A2A WOP2 P-40. I'm wondering how much better, subjectively speaking, is the VC in this new version? It's difficult to tell from the screenshots.
Thanks
Dave

There is a paint kit up on the A2A forums but be warned it's huge my poor program/pc won't even open it.
There is some talk of an update with smaller files.

It is huge indeed, my computer nearly choked on it...but I got it to swallow it in the end...

VC? subjectively speaking, it looks more or less the same, but now everything is really functional, and the instrument panel vibrates like a maniac at certain rpm..

Yes - i think that the VC texuring is also much improved.

Hey guys - am i the last person on earth to realise that the Spitfire also had jacks like the new P40?

:jump:Incredible!! Did my first Low-n-Slow Barrel Roll and starved/choked the Big Allison 1710, Almost lost her but had enough altitude to recover............Thank You A2A for your attention to detail and realism and also for a Bug free tested product before release!:salute:
Cheers

...@ Dave, a.k.a. "thefrog"

From what I can tell from having both versions installed:

1. the "Harness" bag by the left elbow has changed color
2. there is now a map inside the "map box" by right elbow
3. the hand cranked hydraulic pump by right knee will now move to the "red" emergency position on right floor by seat
4. There is a new "shiny" chain underneath the rudder & elevator trim knob housing on left sidewall and the cover has been remolded
5. On the main panel bottom right is the new O2 supply controls and tubing
6. Some "sharpening" of placards/lettering
7. everything else looks about the same, maybe a few more scratches or stuff

Now, of course, the VC panel vibrates, gauges fluctuate, more "clicks", moans and groans...
The improved sound file is a great improvement

The new external texturing on the AVG model is very much improved
...and the AccuSim stuff....

Took her up and I thought the windscreens were starting to fog up. Quick easy solution , open the canopy . The wind noise and engine sound !! awesome . Then side slipped home , again , the wind sound . Try side slipping left and right and listen to the wind . Top stuff !

WOW!!!!!

Actually managed an engine start take off and landing without incident. Found the cockpit ventilation control when the fog set in. Oh my this thing is sweet!! Thanks A2A on a job well done.

Jim

Going to pick this up today myself.. If you guys check out their Facebook page Scott just put up there that the P-51 is next (no clue as to when though of course).. That's the one I have been waiting for since the 377 came out!! Is finally near! And yes the Spitfire does have jacks now too... From now on when a new Accu-sim bird comes out it will update all of them going back to the Spitfire. Since they have now modularized Accu-sim any future improvements made now on say the P-51 will upgrade both the P-40 and Spitfire. On their forums something was mentioned about a reduction gear failure that is in the code, but will not be "activated" until the P-51 is released. Not sure in the system where one of those would be other than possibly from the crank to supercharger, but still cool none the less.

Even if she is not a Cub

.... I enjoy flying "ww2 style" !!!
Wonderful job A2A :applause::applause:, complicated by the Accusim but challenging and amusing :wiggle:

Grazie mille to A2A guys !!!!

Hi All. Late to the game on this one but have a couple questions.

I ve got the WOP 2 P-40 but if I am reading this right I need to buy the latest WOP 3 P-40 and then the accusim all for around 50 bucks or so right? I own bout everything they ever put out but was going to skip this one. Any break $$$ for earlier p40 owners?
And lastly is the performance, fps about the same as their Accusim Spit? Thanks

Hi JIMJAM,

If you have to original WoP 2 P-40, and you purchase the new P-40 with Accusim then you will get a $17 saving, making the full package $37.98.
