A2A P-40 Warhawk (accu) now released (payware)

I love the sounds of the P-40. You can really feel the roar with a subwoofer. The best part is the supercharger sound at lower manifold pressures. It sounds amazing. :applause:

I just commeited financial suicide and bought this puppy.. No regrets.. When we first did the P-40 for Iris a few years ago, THIS is what i wanted, but we didnt have the time or skills ( at the time ) to do it the justice it deserved.. This version is awesome.. The flight model is exactly what i would expect, and the systems are very nicely done. Simple minded me was able to get flying in ten minutes, and five minutes later i had a new propeller on the way ( Gee, i found the ground... again ).. The stick is immediate to responbd, but not at all overpowered, exactly what you would expect from a fighter. It reminds me of another of my favorite aircraft < evil grin ( shameless plug ) > .. Thanks A2A.. Truly a work of excellence..
Pam

Waiting on picking up this bird until the weekend, however, thought I'd post this link for the sound comparison, just 'cause.

the problem is, with any online video, the sound is squished down to mostly midrange. You lose all the upper and lower frequencies which add the true character of the sound..

I don't think he is referring to the quality, but the loudness. To be honest I don't find the A2A P-40 in cockpit sounds that silent unless I have the headphones enabled.

i brought this the other day and so far I haven't been able to get it installed...waaaaaaa! Each time I try I get a message unable to locate the plane and it stops. I haven't had time to mess with the problem...lol. I am looking forward to flying her if I get it to work.

Have you been able to run the installer, and then when you load FSX it cannot find the plane. Or? Certaintly sounds like a weird issue. I installed it the other day with no issues at all. In fact their installers are pretty straight forward since you do not need your product key. I would ask but the basic run of questions, but I think you are probably well versed by now at installing FSX addons Mike. :icon_lol: I have not taken it for a flight yet though as I have been testing the F-15 SP1b, but I did check it out and it looks really good. Not sure why some are saying the cockpit isn't up to snuff. Looked very impressive like all their other work. Not to mention the sound of the supercharger at idle on the runway when I first loaded it was pretty cool sounding. Once I finish testing though going to have to attempt to do a personal repaint for it, and of course put her through her paces in the air.

Sorry for the dumb question, but are you sure you tied to install the plane itself and not just its accusim update ?
If you try to install the Accusim pack before the plane, you'll get such an error message. You must first install the WoP3 P-40, then the Accusim extention, and finally the 1.2 Accusim core update.
I did that in a row, without launching FSX between installs, and it worked perfectly.

Yea,I have tried it both ways with no glory.I am at work but will play with it tonight. I thought I had a bad download,so redownloaded with the same problem. It shows the plane in the correct area. I went and opened that folder up but the only thing in there was a text file...lol. That didn't work. Might go ahead and email their support tonight.

Every few months i have to run the flight1 registry repair tool for both fsx and fs9. could that possibly be the issue??

Not reported any issues with the installer. Moe are you sure you have the WOP3 P-40 and not the WOP2 version?

Shoot us a mail and we can get it sorted

cheers,
Lewis

Mike the text file is supposed to contain the link to your download. Open the txt and see if the link is in there. If so copy & paste to your browser.. I know when I bought the P-40 my e-mail contained the links to the actual files, and I did not get the txt files. Although maybe I am miscomprehending your exact problem. A few people did download these files however, and that is how I know about it. I know Scott and them will get it sorted for you.

Damn Lewis, I thought you was dead...lol. Hadn't seen ya in here to much....do we sink or what...lol. By the way, Moe does not have mo-ron painted on his for head...lol. It is the right ver. I downloaded. FSX is on a separate drive by itself. I have no security and barebones on that drive. I downloaded it to my main drive which has all the security on it and just transferred the file to the FSX file like I have done on the last fifty or so pay ware and freeware. And while I am on the subject of pay ware you guys need to get together and start giving us old senior farts some kind of discount on these sweet pay ware planes. My wife is tired of having to work the street corner to pay for them...mooooo!:icon_lol::icon_lol:

Hi Steve, I have never had a problem with them or their downloads. They have great customer support which goes a long way for me...Mike

Sorry Mike, you are too young to become an old fart. According to my kids you will qualify when you hit the big '60' :icon_lol::icon_lol:.

And I have gone past that by several years.

Well Lewis straighten me out and yes I do have mo-ron on me forehead cus Lewis assured me I do after he reviewed what I did...lol.:mixedsmi:

LOL! Guess I am next in line...picking up some food and then headed home to buy.:icon_lol:

Glad to hear you sorted Moe, ps your not a mo-ron (with the - it sounds like a race from star trek). Hope you enjoy the aircraft :ernae:
