A2A Simulations Update 22/03/09

Nice, but that centerline drop tank is way too far aft. The forward attachment point appears to be located where the aft attachment point was located on the real F4U-1A/C/D. Definitely not what we would expect from A2A these days.

Could it be the perspective from the screenshot making the tank look too far aft? From this perspective too it looks like if the tank were moved forward to where you thought the aft attachment point should be, then the fwd attachment point would be under the engine cowl. I know Milviz used high quality 3-view drawings so I'm sure they put it where the tank was showing on the 3-views.

I do agree the engine seems to be a little too far back in the cowling, and I notice the numbers are backwards on the landing gear doors attached to the struts, almost like they mirrored the starboard door which would make it backwords in the UVW mapping.

Planes go through initial, alpha and beta testing, and sometimes patching. At any WIP stage, it will be just that, a WIP. These are pretty sharp guys, I am sure it will be the best Corsair out there when released.

The forward attachment point for the centerline drop tank or bomb rack was placed directly behind the cowl flaps. It's definitively in the wrong position.

Those are some seriously impressive textures in that 190 cockpit! Some of the very best I've seen in fact. The most impressive A2A VC to date?

Being the authentic gauges on the Classics Hangar version were a centerpiece of design and of special interest to the developer it can't be expected the gauges in this one will get the same attention, but this one has a more natural appearance, less synthetic, almost photographic.

As a WOP3 aircraft I imagine it will rival or beat the P-47 on quality and polish, so I'll be buying this for sure, and unlike the CH version I have no doubt the A2A version will come with a working tach.....
