A2A WOPIII P-47 Out Now!!!

Anybody want to tackle this guy? The top of the wings have the same logo as the bottom, though on the top the center is not painted black, it's just left open with the green running through it. So only the white part of the logo would be painted.

The body color is the same color that comes with the default paints, though since I took the image under incandescent light I tried to remove the extra yellow and orange from it, but I'm no PS expert, so this was the best I could do.

If a larger version of the logo is needed I can provide one, as I have one that's 1100 pixels tall, though all that size does is highlight the printing method. I figured this one would be fine to open in PS and clean up. If nobody wants to tackle it that's no problem, but I thought this one was unique and quite attractive so I wanted to make the images available.

The text above the cockpit is funny: "Originally designed as a lightweight fighter...it was the heaviest single seat fighter of the war".

Unfortunately I'm stupidly busy with 'Real Life' at the moment which is a real pain as I would like to finish off my Luftwaffe and skin and the stripy taxi practice skin.

The Luft one I have though is nearly done but is not that one. Go for it Caz! The only real pain can be to get the swastika correct at least it was on the luftwaffe skin I did as it went across the rudder so had to be slighty offset to follow the curve and gap. That profile looks good though relatively easy, just extend guides for letters and the cros is easy to sort using existing guides again with some extension.

Go for it Caz, personally, I have no desire to paint a german jug.
Besides, real life is interfering here too, the field season is about to start...

How does this look gang?

Used RLM71 over RLM65 (Simmers Paint Shop HEX codes). I erased out a lot of paint chips and toned down the wear and fade as this was freshly painted. So it is relatively clean.

I haven't done the Read Me or packaged it yet, tired now, will do so after I get the boys to school in the morning.

Nice work, I like it.

Here's a pic of what I was describing with the wing cross, but the black one's you have on there sure look good.

SolarEagle or any other that may know. Can you confirm the name "AGNES" and any other yellow script below it.

I looked at my textures, unfortunately after I sent them up this morning and noticed that the "Beetle" art was too big and that I should have extend the yellow cowl a touch lower at the top. I was going by the anti-glare panel demarcation and I should have demarcated the RLM71 and gelb lower at the panel separation. Argg. The agony of a perfectionist.

So I modified all that and made the "Beetle" art smaller. While doing so, I also added the white crosses to the uopper wings only, I left the lower wings with black and white crosses. Which would be correct. I toned down the US National Insignia green, painted the prop RLM70 black-green (I changed the propwash also, so as to have a black green appearance and no yellow tip). These are in the repaint sent up.

I take any and all suggestions and hints, I was only going from the profile and art shown here in the post. The inconvenience is to you fellows that would like it and have already loaded a previous version and have to download and install a revision. It is good that the SOH staff will put the new version in place of the old and not have to crate along two large files.

I also included a set of textures sans swastikas for those that live in countries that forbid them or those that wish not to have them.

No screenies, I'm late already. need to get to the Tuger Direct store in Durham, NC and get my youngest son's new tower. Today is his birthday, he turns thirteen. he has all the other works, 22-in qwide-screen monitor, Saitek gaming keyboard, MS mouse, etc, all he needed was an up-to-date tower with the swing of things.

New "BEETLE" textures uploaded

New textures have been uploaded for an amended "BEETLE". As before, there are two sets of textures, one with a swastika and one without.

The front is now much more accurate and the prop is officially RLM 70 Black-Green, I did not do the spec right the first time. New propwash textures and pilot textures are enclosed in this package also. The pilot's uniform has been made a dark gray and the USAAF Squadron patch has been removed.

Thanks for your patience and patronage. Many thanks to Douglas for putting up to my whims.

Another Quality Job By Cazzie Inc. :applause:
is that two different color planes

No, they're both the same save for the inclusion of the swastika on one set of textures and the elimination of the swastika on the other. But I had to use a separate main texture and spec texture for each. Just pick your poison DC.

I altered the nose, added more RLM71 and made the "BEETLE" logo smaller. As said, I added a black-green prop with no yellow tip and the pilot altercations with the new textures.

Nice works, looks really nice. I'll test her out tonight.

I think doublecool was asking about colors since it appears you did two different edits on your screenshots.

I just uploaded these three, which will probably be my last for a while as I'll be travelling for most of the coming months (though you never know..)
