Aero Commander 680 Super

A few years ago, I revamped all the Aero Commanders series to improve appearance, textures, the model in general, and the clarity of the VC panel and gauges. Well, we ran out of time before we got the AC680S done.

I have invested the last few weeks in my spare time to completely restructure and update the 680S models, though not to the extent of totally redoing it. The VC was the main reason for doing this as the panel and gauges were low resolution.

So, I have made some great progress on the "Ike" AF1 and today the focus has been redoing the Pegasus VC panel and gauges from scratch. Making headway with the basics in place now.

The Ike used a late 560 panel whereas the later Pegasus used the new style with more radios across the top.

Say, what are you doing flying around my neck of the woods? ;) Always loved your 680 Pegasus, can't wait to see it with the re-vamped VC. Thanks. :salute:

Thanks Milton :applause:

Looking forward to the updated version :jump:

The old Commander is always one of the first to be re installed after a rebuild.

Pete.

I'm looking forward to this one also! Another metal bird!!! Hmm!

Thanks guys for all the interest. I am awaiting some artistic help with the panel textures and then a final checkout of the gauges. Maybe you all could help "swamp test" this thing for me?

@TuFun: These old original Pegasus textures were done for FS8/FS2002 and do not hold up that well for me here in FS9. The alphas need some work but otherwise the art is good. I will need to find someone to correct this before release.

I haven't forgotten you guys. Nigel is working on panel graphics as we are also working on a nice Avia 57 surprise for you all.

Patience as we trudge along please. :) I think you will be pleased.

I've always liked that Pegasus paint.

The Pegasus scheme is getting a needed upgrade and improvement by Nigel. I think you will really like it. The VC is so much nicer as well. It will be a much needed and much improved release.

You are in, as always Sir. I always appreciate your detailed reports and tests.

That makes two of us Milton, only you say it better.

BB686's reports are always a welcome pleasure - explicit, he has a sharp eye for detail and a wealth of aviation knowledge.

Eagerly looking forward to the next one 686. :wavey:

flight tests of an updated Howard? i'll have some of that too :icon_lol: hard to beat bush ops in that little beauty! :jump:

...i'm good with reports too, though usually they have to be censored due to being too explicit in language, squaddie talk and abbreviations :icon_lol:

whatever i'm looking forwards to this, might spur me on to rebuild my neglected bush strip on a hilltop in Greece....

Matt, feedback is always important, even when graced with *#@*&'s.

Howard? Uh, no, Aero Commander 680 Super but it is somewhat related to the Howard in that it has wings, engines, fuselage and main gear. :)
