two quick paints done on my laptop while on the road:




Typhoon JR128 HF-L as it looked when flying with 183 squadron, based in Colerne, late 1944.




Typhoon JP975 as it may have looked on the 19th of August 1944, when it crashed near Saint-Maclou-la-Brière, a small village near Le Havre. JP975 was piloted by pilot Officer James Stellin RNZAF, who was flying with 609 squadron, based in Thorney Island airfield. On the 19th of August, 609 had been attackking the Falaise pocket when James Stellin was probably hit by flak while attacking ground targets. He tried to fly back to England, but was losing altitude and on realising he was probably going to crash in the middle of the village, managed to divert to crash at the last moment. He jumped from his aircraft, but was too low and his chute did not open. He was buried by the thankful civilians, who celebrated his sacrifice each year and have named the square in front of the church 'Place Stellin'. It is not known what the aircraft code of JP975 was on the day of the crash, so I have opted for PR-S, for Stellin.

Actually, that screenie (of HF-L) was of an early version, I think I took care of that flap already, just forgot to take new pics.
But while your at it, there is also a bit of light grey on one of the wing roots that shouldn't be there in the paintkit, and possibly some of the textures.

We have now notified all vendors that a new Service Pack is up. A complete install, it includes a revised prop effect (removed the semi trans blades) remapped flaps and a couple of small adjustments.

By any chance was there a change to the engine startup effect? No problem. Just curious.

Given FS shortcomings with anti-clock props, we had to moderate the prop stutter to get it under control. Otherwise no further engine stuff no.

The Silver Bullet! MN666 was damaged in the Normandy campaign and shipped back to the UK and repaired. All camo apart from the fabric covered rudder was removed. The aircraft was then given to the Fighter Leader School at Milfield and was usually flown by the Commanding Officer of the Typhoon Squadron.
