Aeroplane Heaven Hawker Typhoon Released

Nice repaint Peter!

The 1.2 update is available for those who purchased the model via JustFlight.

Cheers,
Huub

I like the silver repaint Peter but where can we download it?

The 1.2 version seems to give a complete fix!

Great paints everyone - got v1.2 and all now really good!! Only one thing. Any chance of a three-bladed prop at some point? A lot of earlier 1b's had three-bladed props around D-Day I believe, though many subsequently acquired four blades as they went through overhaul (if they lasted that long...).

Many thanks again for a great product.

Just installed V1.2 but I still have this bug ... Someone else experienced the same ?

Can't check it as I didn't have the time to install any of the updates, which is why I'm still with the v1.0 version..................

Cheers,

OK, I though that "flap mapping fixed" as stated by the developer V1.2 update description meant the fix of this little bug !!! NO PROBLEM, sooner or later it will be fixed:biggrin-new:

A couple more squawks.

1. The fuel contents selectors - the readings are reversed, i.e. the nose tanks quantity reads the main tank quantities, and vice versa.

2. The Fuel Tank Selector should have the main and nose tanks positions marked on it.

Bazzar, would it be possible to add the exhaust ports to the VC model?

It seems odd when your are taxying (especially trackIR users) not to see them!

One other thing that I noticed is that the canopy is on the rather large side - it's too long and high and not quite the right shape, with the front frame being to high as well as a result.

(The pilot sits too high also, as if he has his seat at full height as he might when taxying, but this cannot be done with the canopy closed).

I have checked and double checked this with photos and drawings, and as a sanity check, have made up a composite image of the AH Model with a photo of the real thing which shows the error.

(I'll post this later as it's on another computer).

Otherwise, it's a very nicely done model, and welcome addition to FSX. :applause:

Cheers

Paul

The fuel gauge markings are correct to a real Typhoon gauge. The nose and main labels are there. The top scale is the main tanks, 40 gals each and the lower scale is the nose tanks 37 gals each. They are not reversed.

The exhausts are there in the VC.

The pilot is our regulation six-footer and in a Typhoon his shoulders would be just above the cockpit rail. Contemporary photos of flying Typhoons show the pilot's head either in line with or just below the top of the windscreen frame.

Be very careful with photos, camera parallax can cause no end of distortion.

Thanks Bazzar. Great model and a very good paintkit! Er, I don't suppose you would consider a Sea Fury as a follow-up? OK, just a joke! keep up the good work.

Peter

Also a T E M P E S T !!! :biggrin-new:

I've been playing with some alternative colors for the Tiffie as well..

what do you think? Better with or without roundels?

Thanks JanKees, I was hoping you would do this one :encouragement:. The man had a weird taste as he said "When he saw te Typhoon for the first time, he immediately fell in love with the aircraft". It made me wonder: "Do you think he liked women with a big mouth as well?" :biggrin-new:

Cheers,
