Aeroplane Heaven HE-111 P2 Released

I used to own a 1931 M.G. which apart from having a crash gearbox had a "gate guard" which you had to lift to get to reverse. I had a habit of forgetting that which made reversing interesting. The Hydraulic Lock must have eventually got second nature once pilots were familiar with their machines. It was also a journey to model and animate - we have the spring animating stretched and contracted as the lever is used. Glad you are enjoying it.:engel016:

I tried to download the He-111 paintkit from the Aeroplane Heaven site, but got a zipfile that windows could not open ("file is invalid"). I posted a message on their site, but did not receive a message (yet). Does anyone have a valid file of the He-111 paintkit?

Hello Jankees

Just tested the help desk contact works perfectly. Not sure whats going on there. Unless your name is imogen and you were offering me 1000 pills of xanax ? :playful: ( yes I have to check the spam folder every dat :banghead: ) Anyway it all works on firefox and vivaldi ( chrome clone ). It actually worked pretty well, within 30 seconds of hitting the send button on the website I got a notification that I had emailed me.

As for your issue I think you may have got an interrupted download. I have just downloaded ( admittedly on macosx ) the zip and it downloads and opens fine. I have also copied the zip to a flash disk and stuck it on my windows offline computer and it works on there as well. The zip was made using macosx so you will see a _macosx folder but you ignore that. It opens fine with 7zip. I dont use winzip/winrar as 7zip has been fine for me.

The manual has a small area for repainters in it so you might want to snag that as well. Depends on what you're after.

I had no problem downloading the paint kit.

I've tried it now on 4 computers, always the same issue, downloading works fine, opening the zip does not work.
Messages vary from invalid to corrupt file. If anybody had more luck opening the zip, could you maybe send me the files directly via wetransfer of similar?

It's a 700meg download. Have you allowed it to fully download? Also have you tried different browsers?

yes and yes, but it was Pilto's remark that finally won the day: only 7zip would open it, not winzip, winrar or windows.
Nice paintkit!

Jan, fabulous work as always. I just purchased this beauty and look forward to adding all your creations to it.

Here are my first forays into pbr:

compare this to the earlier shots, the white paint now has no, or much less metallic reflections, since it would have been applied much later. What do you think?

I still have to sort a few things paint-wise, but it is beginning to look like something I think. Of course I know this is supposed to be a H model, but there's nothing I can do about that.

Stovall, thank you for your kind words, this paint still needs some TLC, but the earlier ones, which were just adaptations of AH's textures, I'll try to post over the weekend.

Great job man! Sorry about no "H"model, it is something we may consider for the future.:engel016:
