Aeroplane Heaven new Grumman F3F-2!

Ah.. I wasn't paying enough attention. Didn't realise it was also part of that triple pack. The one here isn't but of course.. the same work applies;) Can't remember which ship I used for the cfg but it seems to work just fine. I don't see any smoke but the wake is fine. I'll have to check to see if I have the triple pack (I'm sure I have somewhere but my ship downloads exceed my aircraft downloads by many times and they're all in one ship folder rather than by nationality);)

Is anyone seeing a texture shift on the right rear side after the update? Just wanted to know if it was my install or if others also see this. You can see it by looking at the rear numbers or letters on the rights side. Look at the screen shots and you can see part of the text or number is shifted to the right.

Yes I noticed this too in 1.1v. so in this skin I did small correction for this effect:

Not only that the rivets are in the wrong places.

Now that you mentioned it, I noticed it too. I wonder if their paint kit would reflect same errors?
I also wonder if using the V1 textures would not have these faux pa?

I sure hope AH will do something to make good on this. :frown-new:

I've had a look at the Yanco model and it's not the same as the one in the library (the one in my screenshot). That one is by Bruce Fitzgerald. Details between the two are quite noticeable;)

Now.. to check for texture shifts!!

Yes.. they're very close. Bruce's model sits a little lower in the water (though that could be me) and it doesn't have the landing officer on the stern or any crew watching from the island.

I've had a look at the default textures for the F3F on the v1.1 model and I see the same.. a slight mismatch. YoYo's 6F4 Enterprise paint seems to have got away with it though there are a couple of 'blemishes' I'm not sure are intentional or not. I could easily assume they're intentional.

I noticed that Yoyo's VF6 doesn't have the star on the side, was that pre WW2 and then WWII the star was painted on the side?

Did the V1.1 paint kit say the same as original? I looked at the DDS files and the starts and lettering look to be Okay.
It looks like this anomaly is on the right side of the fuselage. The port butter server got it right I guess :)
 
The texture glitch will indeed be corrected. The VF-3 and VF-1 schemes are technically F3F-1s.:engel016:
 
Raise/lower landing gear

I am not able to raise the landing gear. I pull the pin, the switch is in the raise position and then switch sides and turn the crank. The position indicator does not move.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Sounds like you've got it out of phase Tom. Have the switch in the up position, pin in. Use the G key to drop and raise the gear. Check that it is now up. Pull the pin, switch the switch down crank and check the gear goes down. Reverse the procedure to raise. The marker is not instant it will follow the gear rather than the crank.:engel016:
