AH DHC-1 Chipmunk Chippy has landed 6/24

Wow... Great to meet someone with the same first flight experience. I flew it out of RAF Newton. How about you? And, I was in contact with the owner in the USA a few years ago. It had been accident damaged for a while, and it has since been sold. Look forward to that future repaint. THANKS!!!!!! - Kenneth
RAF Coltishall for me, August 1970.

It's available now at https://liveries.to/keithb77/aef-livery-pack-for-the-aeroplane-heaven-dhc-1-chipmunk
Silver-grey and Dayglo which is how I remember it though some details may not be accurate - do you know which AEF it was with?
After Christmas I'll do a couple more from my logbook...

1.6.1 of the Chippie is up at JF...livery still works :)

Well, You have indeed given me an early Christmas present. 7AEF is the answer to your question regarding WK591. My Chippie flights in full (in case we both flew other airframes too - NOT a hint for repaints though!)

1. 9 October 1971 = WK591. 7AEF. RAF Newton
2. 4 December 1971 = WK604. 7AEF. RAF Newton
3. 24 July 1972 = WG417. 8AEF. RAF Shawbury
4. 12 November 1972 = WK640. 7AEF. RAF Newton
5. 24 July 1973 = WP370. 3 AEF. RAF RAF Weston
6. 25 July 1973 = WP962. 3 AEF. RAF Weston
7. 26 July 1974 = WK586. 6 AEF. RAF Abingdon
8. 23 April 1994 = C-FBNH (RCAF 18064). Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada.

Now I may have to get back to finishing my RAF Newton scenery, although it has been a while and will have to re-learn what I was doing six months ago. Also would need permissions to use assets if it were ever released.

Greetings.

I wonder if I could inspire you to pick up your Chipmunk paint brush again?

Whenever I fly the AH Chipmunk, I typically only fly the liveries you have re-painted. It's not just because two of them are serial numbers I flew in real life, 50-odd years ago, it's also the fact that you re-sized the fuselage roundels to a more correct proportion. With that re-sizing, the overall "Look" of the AH model improves dramatically to my eyes.

Anyway, that said, I would love to see a later red/white/grey airframe re-touched with those re-seized roundels. WK640 would be nice, and the RAF museum WP962 would be a spectacular bonus too.

Should the artistic spirit move you again, please give consideration to these suggestions.

Regards
- Kenneth

Now that we have more pilot avatars available, it would be nice to see RAF repaints on the civil version of the Chipmunk.
