AI sounds....why do they have to stink so much?

I wish there were a way to get AI planes to use full sound packs instead of those mealy-dealy (just made that up) files in the main SOUND folder. Would be great to hear an Airbus A-320 or Boeing 757 going from idle while stopped to full thrust on take off. I am going to have to do SOMETHING to improve the sounds of the AI planes.....use files from some of my sound packs as replacements which is all I can do....but man, if only the AI would use real sound packs.

Yeah, it's one area...and I am gritting my teeth as I say this... that FSX is way better.
But there are some replacement AI sounds uploaded to the usual places.
Sadly not a lot of variety is allowed for AI planes, so you need to have something fairly generic.

And, co-incidentally on AVSIM today:

This is a package for updating the default AI Traffic sounds. This package also includes the originals just in case you don't like these new ones; making it easy to revert back to the originals. I came across a package of AI sound by Aaron R. Swindle on Flightsim.com called aisnz.zip. This package really improved the sounds of the AI planes...especially the single engine prop planes...there is a included alternate pack for beefier prop AI sounds.....I used those and am really glad I did. No more food blender sounding AI single prop planes. Nice and beefy sounding.
