• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Airacomet - WIP

Are you going to or are you willing to make the aircraft a conversion for CFS2? I love the early jets and it would be nice to jump a few Zekes in this bird...................BTW assume job!!!!!

Well, neither David nor I fly in CFS2, so we don't plan to make a CFS2 version - or even know quite how to go about it.

We would be happy to allow the conversion if someone who knows what they're doing wants to take on the job. Some folks have done this with one or two of our previous planes. We'd be glad to share the FSDS source files if that's necessary (I don't even know if that's necessary.)

If you or anyone else wants to do the conversion, just let us know what you need from us to get started.

But beware - the P-59 might not be fast enough to jump a late-model Zeke!

But if it is, I can imagine what three 50.s and a 37mm would do to a Zeke! Considering that Navy pilots thought the early F4F's four fifties was more than enough...

It needs some fine tuning for CFS2, but I think it is going to be possible. I did a test conversion of one of the models ant it worked. I have to rebuild the panel and so on, and I have to fine tune a .dp and things like that but I really do think it is going to work.
