Fruit Basket have arrived....
I called the hospital at about 8:30pm, and checked with our patient. Ron Larson is doing great, the nurse said; his monitors are doing great as well (i forgot the term- the monitor that check his heart rate, temperature, breathing, etc.... I wish there is a monitor to check whats in his mind, as well) He was asleep, the nurse said there was a HUGE fruit basket that arrived....

Hello All,
I just called the hospital a few seconds ago. Talked to the nurse again, and she told me that the patient is WELL, and will go home today (St. Petersburg VA Hospital), as soon as the doctor talked to him. She transfered me to Ickie's room and we talked.
I can sense that 'the man' is doing so well. After the procedure, when he woke up, the (nurse) wanted him to walk and exercise (walking). He said he was so sore, but he managed-doing jumping jacks (LOL- joke). Well he did walked and walked and walked. Today, he said, he is A LOT better.
He keeps on talking and talking, then his doctor came and we have to hang up...
You have seen the battery commercial ... the pink bunny with a drum, that keeps going and going and going.... That is Ickie - seems like he never had any procedures done. He is Doing so WELL, Thank you, JESUS!!!!
St. Petersburg is a lot closes to me than Miami. I can say about 2 to 3 hours drive, depends on traffic and speed.
I told him to give me a call anytime. I am the SOH(911).

Ron called me this morning, said he got a huge fruit basket but didn't wanna touch it...to purty...see what drugs can do to ya..lol. He also said they were getting his stuff ready to be transported to St. Peters....said it should be about a 5 hour drive.He sounded a lot better today than he did yesterday. I asked him if he was having a cig-a-weed fit yet but he said you cant smoke within fifty feet of the building and they were putting a patch on him everyday.I told him we were trying to get a phone card to him for his laptop. Harley said that Verizon told him the service will work anywhere in Florida and we can buy it each day. I think I am gonna go ahead and foot the bill for that cus I know some in here would like to see him in here where he belongs and he has a lot of fixing to do...I hope he don't think he gonna come in here and shoot da bull...lol.. I need some return on my investment..he...he..he. He said he loves the laptop and the glossy screen sweet. I guess he has formatted it several time to kill some time....grins...Mike
