Alpha Testers Wanted

Hey! As per title, I'm looking for a few brave souls to give a quick test to one of my models. A basic knowledge of how FSX works is required.
Nothing so fancy to show right now but I want to be sure I've put everything in the right spot being my very first model for FSX.
I'm making this publicly so hopefully I'll have a wider range of machines and configs.

So here it is http://linusdreams.altervista.org/WIPs/ITW_Alenia_Aermacchi_M-346.zip, download it at your risk. You'll need to swap/rename/change a few files with an existing aircraft as the zip contains only the MDL and textures, nothing else.

What I'm mostly interested about is if volume shadows work for you, because on my rig they seem to work only above a certain altitude while down low they're a mess.

Looking forward to your findings and tips, if any! Oh BTW, this is what you'll get!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys, really appreciated!

Anybody did test her before this thread falls into the darkness?:bump:
And...Hagar REALLY rocked!!:focus:

Sorry to say that the link doesn't seem to work.
Certainly no download here.

Hey Luca, nice to see you coming over to the dark side, hehehe.
Other than that, what Michael sais, great clean mesh.
Is Alessandro going to paint this one?

Hey Mat, that should be the plan...that is, if I can provide him with non existant drawings for panel lines and rivets...:help:

Easy with 70 years old designs uhm? LOL

Well il mio amico, I never understood why someone would want to make planes without torque. :d

That's easy! Not everybody sleeps in bed with Kurt Tank! :d :d :d

Call it adventure spirit!:woot:

This is what I'm seeing below 5500ft. The wings and elevators don't cast shadows on the ground, the self shadowing is pure black and doesn't follow the parts of the mesh that it should. The left engine exhaust tube shadow cuts through the model no mater what angle it is viewed from. Once I get above 5500ft everything seems to look and work fine. Hope that helps. On a side note, the model is beautiful! :ernae: I cant wait to see it finished. Once the mapping is complete I dont think I'll be able to resist getting some paint on it.

Luca, that's going to be a sweet one. At first glance I thought it was an L-39.

And it might be this one that I'm a ground crew member for...... ;) "PIPSQUEAK" The World’s Fastest L-39.
