Alphasim F-106 speed issue

Hello all,

I was flying the F-106 the other day, and I noticed that I could not exceed Mach 1 - even at high altitude, and with a fuel load of less than 50%. This aircraft should easily exceed this - any reason why this may be?

many thanks,

dl

It's underpowered. Try taking the static thrust up to this:

static_thrust=24500 lbf //16100.000 <---The Original Value

This bugged me as well and I made the change. It will hit it's posted Mach number with the settings upped as shown above. 24,500 is actually Max Thrust in Afterburning but you're not getting that at full throttle with the static set to 16100.
