AN-2 Queries

SOH-CM-2022
Poking around in My Library I found the MS/ATS AN-2 from FS2020 labelled as Disabled. So I Enabled it and loaded it up in FS2024.
At the moment I can't get any brakes to work, [hand or park], & I can't get it above 50 kts so she just gets off the tarmac & then slowly eases back down.
I can remember in FS2020 it used to do a 3 wheel departure around 45 kts & was enjoyable to fly.
Anyone got it going in FS2024 & had any of the brake or airspeed issues?

I've had that exact issue with the power on every flight I've tried her on so far. Just enough power to get off the runway, but then shortly after it drops off.

I had the same issues with the Blackbird Corsair but have been completely working over the flight dynamics and have a good flyer now. A number of important things have changed from sim to sim. Probably not a simple fix. Be aware that there are a lot of easter eggs in the default bindings, some of which could be causing issues. I had one that every time I extended the gear the engines would stop.

If you can get into debug in Dev mode you can evaluate both drag and HP/thrust values and see if the issue is there.

Its odd. The throttle advances fully & the RPM looks ok, but not enough power. I wonder if prop control is reversed?.
Have you got a Park brake or any form of braking?

I wondered the same thing about "reversed". I'll double check the brakes next time

Prop control did not appear to be reversed. I will try the FS2020 AN-2 & in particular look at the RPM & Manifold Pressure gauge movement range, comparing to FS2024. I noticed in FS2024 that the RPM seemed to move most off the throttle rather than the Prop lever, but I need to take a closer look.
I think the FS2024 AN-2 is a drag through from FS2020, by MS/ATS, & not a 'repurposed/updated for FS2024" aircraft

The AN-2 in FS2020 flies at up to 100 kts & went well.
The FS2024 version is still stuck around 55 kts with speed dropping away, so I have parked it until a fix turns up.

Same type of power issue with the BN Tri-Islander. Enough power to get off the ground, but inflight it barely moves at full throttle.

This might be related???

The last several flights in the T-33 have had odd throttle/engine power issues. Sometimes the throttle works normally, then other times it drops to low idle and won't budge, then other times it continually cycles between full throttle and idle.

In order to make a flight with the T-33 when it's doing the two odd things, I have to keep restarting the flight. sometimes it comes back normal and then sometimes not.

I finally gave up last night after 5 or 6 restarts without it coming back normal.

Going to try again here this evening.

Added:
Got her up and flying right now but took 3 restarts to get a normal throttle/engine.

I was digging around in the MSFS Forums & noted someone had had engine issues & traced it back to an Assistance setting.
I went through mine & found some had been changed by ?? , [including ticking Auto Mixture], since I was last in there.
I changed the Assistances back, took out auto-mixture, & tried the AN-2 again but no change, its still stuck around 54 kts air speed.
But testing was not the best as my PC has suddenly moved FS2024 to the lower powered of my 2 GPU's.
Always something:confused:
