An Idea for a Gauge

Is it possible to make a gauge that shows the info that comes up in red when one hits "shft+z"? Maybe even not all the info but the windspeed and direction some other stuff......whenever I call up that info it looks kinda weird in that it screws up my suspension of disbelief,lol. With a gauge, it might just look like it belongs there. Now if there's a gauge maker.........:pop4::isadizzy:
 
Sounds like a fine idea, would love to know too.

I have a default goodies panel I add to most panels, lots of handy stuff, like switches for everything, autopilot, OAT, G-meter, the fine icing gauge that simulates icing in the correct conditions, and a de-ice switch to remedy that. Traffic Radar, In flight refuelling, OAT,etc... all the handy stuff that some fine folks forget to add to the panels, sometimes basic stuff like Master battery, lol. Got it all on two pop-up panels in case I need it.

I used to have a wind direction gauge, was a standard clockface gauge that pointed the wind direction gauge, that was two computers ago and borrowed from FS for use in CFS2, wish I could find it again.

FS2002 Windspeed Gauge. This gauge indicates the wind heading and force in text mode. There is also a graphic representation. A plane drawing indicates the plane heading and an arrow indicates where the wind arrive. By Yvan Muster.

There are more - a search on FlightSim: "wind gauge" and there's a pure digital one I like (I'd have to find it) that blends perfectly with black panels.

I use two different gauges for wind.

One is a winds aloft gauge which gives direction and speed at various altitudes. Comes in handy for finding the best altitude for cruising along.

The other is a wind drift gauge that gives you wind direction and speed along with heading to allow for wind drift to keep you on course.

I got both at FlightSim.
 
The Merlin Stratojet concept aircraft by Eugene Heyart comes with several nice custom gauges. Heyart's wind gauge is especially useful. It gives an analog indication of the wind direction in relation to the aircraft, plus digital readouts for wind velocity and compass direction. I consider this gauge is essential for free-ranging seaplanes.

Another is the KLN 90B by Ike H Slack. This gauge was bundled with Premier Aircraft Design's Cessna 414A Chancellor. The KLN 90 displays the digital GPS information without the map. It is compact and can fit where a GPS 500 will not. With this instrument installed in the panel, you can keep track of course, ground speed etc. An operation manual is included with the aircrafts documentation.
