• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

An open letter to our SOH community re. the An-2

Has anybody recently ordered the An-2 and had their order go through OK? And did you receive your download email?

Placed the order on May 26th. Download appeared in my inbox almost immediately.
Looks like I used PayPal, so I can't comment on credit card issues.
 
I for one would like to see this a/c fixed for p3dv4
I have loaded it in p3dv4 flies great all systems work apart from
vc view can't see out of the cockpit glass is grey
in external view heading face on I have a black bar across the wings flying away tail view all ok
changing from external view to vc the engine shuts down

Yep, and as you've read, it won't happen. Unless someone at Sibwings wakes up from the deep sleep they appear to be in, their airplanes will not be updated for V4.

Thanks for the reply! :encouragement: I always go with PayPal too, was more concerned with download than payment.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't fix this bird if uses .gau or .dll files for the gauges and/or systems. Only Sibwings could recompile those for P3Dv4.
 
Update: I ended up purchasing the An-2 and the download email arrived immediately after I finished the transaction. So if you're still running FSX or don't have to worry about the P3D issues, it's still available from Sibwings.

Purchased (PayPal) about 4 weeks ago - inspired by Carl's other thread - no dramas downloading and installing. Starting the beast up is another matter . . . :untroubled:

a worthy note

with over 10yrs of FSX addons not everything will be touched within the first few years

theres tonnes of FS9s that are only starting to make it into fsx and many that will never be ported

its going to be the same with P3D


Im swear this discussion happened back in 2006 regarding something else

None the less Dag, I think for now we can file that under the title of "Don't Hold Your Breath".

Can you curb the enthusiasm a bit? About five to fifty notches?
Because before you know it, you'll be on national TV's most well known talk show, jumping up and down in your seat.
 
Regarding the An-2, Andrey has done his part of the update and Alex is working on an installer. Andrey is as dissapointed as you are regarding the update situation, he says. There are no dates set for the update.

Thank-you! Please convey to them all, that there is a group of enthusiasts eager for this release (albeit, none more eager than I). The Annuschka is like nothing else in the FS world, and I promise to do my bit to illustrate her charms as soon as I can get her into Prepar3D v4.
