Tako, Barry became a much loved figure on the Aussie racing scene when he immigrated out here.
He ended up as a presenter on one of the networks which really covered all Motorsport (sadly, not today!) well, typical Barry Sheene remark, "Welcome to Philip Island, gateway to Hypothermia" ....................

He's missed by almost all the Australian enthusiasts, his death hit us quite hard, but today, the 'Barry Sheene Ride' tribute to PI for the MotoGP week has reached 20,000+ participants, from all over the country.
I suppose we awarded him the highest Aussie 'honour' by regarding Barry as a 'Good Bloke'.

One that is out of left field, the Ecosse 2.7 Climax that started life as a Cooper Monaco, rebuilt after a write-off and a really quck FL car.
I shot this at one of those flat and cold English circuits (The name escapes me!) on a grey day in 1980, at an historic Club meeting, the young lady I was involved with at the time took me along.
The scanning of all my negs from that event is underway, I'll post some of the interesting ones shortly, like the slightly scruffy road registered 250GTO driven to the circuit, raced and then driven home.
Never happen these days!!
