Been trying to modify a .dp for Sky Unlimited's P-38s. I've got everything in order to drop bombs, a torp, and fire rockets, the last item that's got me stumped is that I am unable to release the droptanks. Can someone take a look at what I have and show me the error of my ways???

Have a check through the [Payload x]'s sections. From what I can gather "Mount.2" and "Mount.3" should be wing pylons. They look like they have been set up as bombs instead of pylons ??

Thanks for pointing that out, however, mount.2 and 3 were mislabled only, there are actually bombs using those hardpoints. I did go back and relable them accordingly.

I just had to have a go with my own P47 with the same external tanks on....wouldn't drop till I selected one of the built-in fuel tanks, may be something simple like that ??, can't see a whole lot with the dp file that would stop the tanks from working.

TW, if I remember well, the trick is located into the airfile and not into the dp. I suggest you to take a look into the stock P-38, and to check how the drop tanks are treated. Copy and paste work also when using the airedit small software.

Just for the heck of it, I used the stock P-38F air file in the plane I was modifiying and it sure enough worked! And herre all along I thought it was my dp file! Just goes to show that it sometimes takes looking at a problem with fres eyes. Thanks to all who responded!
