Any News on Oldliner's Fokker Warbird ?

I think the summer holiday has slowed down the project a bit! Maybe Huub knows more.

Thanks for asking Flyboy, but I'm afraid there isn't much news.
Currently Michel has some private matters to worry about, which might need quite some time. So please don't put any pressure on him, I know he will continue working on the model as soon as he can. As said already before, this is only a hobby and family and other private matters should always have priority.
Beside that, as Cees already mentioned, it is holiday season and therefore we like to spend some time in the sun as well. In some cases we can combine this; last week Cees and I explored some historic buildings together on an (former) airfield nearby......
The external model is more or less finished, but there are still (quite) a few points in the interior Michel wants to improve. I have e-mailed him some additional information about the interior last week. A problem might be the fact that Michel more or less ran out of polys. Currently he is more or less modeling all the details. But in case poly numbers will become a real problem, I suggested to use textures with 3D some effects to add more details into the interior. When we will use these textures there is still some work for me to do.
One thing which Michel also wants to add is the "Ragonot electrical panel' which was used to switch between the generators and batteries. The panel was operated by the observer/radio man or the gunner and is foreseen to be a pop-up in this model. However this is a very complex thing for which Michel asked the assistance from Christian Daboudet.
The work for Cees, Benoit and me is more or less finished for the moment. Although I'm sure there will be some last minute adjustments to make for Benoit and me.

And for those who have moved to the other side.....
It works without any major problem in FSX also! (it says 20 fps while the target was set at 20fps!)
Frame rates are good no issues with the windows, perhaps the alphas for the propellers need some adjustment.

Huub liked the church very much. I do too... The Germans made most of the buildings look like farms...These are barracks in the third screenie! Just must add a few details.

The skins of the G1 are stunning! They are totally in line with the quality of the modeling that Old Liner has put into the plane.

The buildings in your screen shots are superb. I have used some of your work in CFS2, but have not really used any of it in FS2004...a situation that I will have to rectify.

Weren't almost all of our current airfields once 'genuine WW-II Luftwaffe airfields'..?
I'm not using Fs9 that much anymore, with some recent great FsX releases, but the G.1 is enough reason to keep Fs9 installed!
Not all Dutch airfields were used or constructed by the Germans. The construction of "de Peel" started in 1954.
I have FSX installed, but except for some testing I hardly use it. I prefer my teweeked FS9 which is party early sixties and partly WW-II. Most of the beautiful FS9 scenery, by Cees, Ian and all those other artists, won't work in FSX. The Fokkers by Wimand Paul don't work in FSX.
All reason for me to stick with FS9.

FS9 is after all "The Mature Sim"!!
I do fly FSX, but with current rigs, the framerates in FS9 are just crazy, fingerlicking good!!
And, as long as there is no Phantom for FSX like the C9 F-4F, I have no intention of loosing my First Sim. In fact, with a few improvements, FS9 looks almost as good as FSX and it doesn't torture your rig like the monster FSX!
Getting off me soapbox... sorry...
