Anyone remember the Hovercontrol Jayhawk?

I've had a modified Jayhawk/Seahawk installed in FS2002 for years but it doesn't have a VC panel.

Note the tail wheel, it has the correct layout for a Navy SH-60.
I d/l'd it from the old Hovercontrol site wayy back in the day.
I'm not sure if it was a work-in-progress or the author just never got around to adding the panel section to the MDL.
It has a VC but no gauges show up.

I've tried guessing if it was a "$panel" call in the panel folder but nothing ever worked.
Did anyone ever get the VC figured out?

Back in the day I had helped another author re-work Jordan's open source Seahawk for an accurate SH-60B/F/H and Jayhawk. I can't find it now, but maybe this download would help. I do remember a VC working.

I already have that one installed, no joy.
I also have the Aerosoft SH-60 installed in FS2004. :wiggle:
I have a hunch that panel folder might work, at least the $panel call outs. :geek:

The callouts I'm talking about are in the panel.cfg file and look like this:

[Vcockpit01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=768,768
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$vcright

gauge00=as532_hover!hover, 86,294,190,127
gauge01=bell_206b!Rotor, 289,95,66,66

If that "texture=" line isn't correct, nothing will show up in the VC.
Or, that Seahawk really was a work-in-progress and it hadn't been coded into the MDL yet, if ever.

Yeah, I had to try to remember why that Seahawk MDL was so special. :sneaky:

Its basically the same MDL as the Coast Guard Jayhawks but the tires actually roll and there's a third crew member in the back..
I still want to play around with the panel.cfg. I have a hunch it might use the same "$Panel" assignments as the Aerosoft SH-60 for FS9. :geek:

Update- So, my hunch wasn't so good. :ROFLMAO:
I haven't worked on this helo in something like 10-15 years and that was before I installed FS9.
What I can remember was that it was a topic in the Hovercontrol forum but Jordan wasn't involved.
Keep in mind that this helo was meant for FS9 and I'm running it in FS8. Looking over the panel.cfg file, there's a ton of gauges for the 2D and VC panels. It could be as simple as FS8 saying "No mas" and maybe I should try to install it in FS9 and see what happens. :unsure:
