There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

I should also thank you for your credits and comments.
I had not looked at the "ReadMe" files before my last post in this thread.
Between you andHubbabubba, you are setting new standards for "First Projects" that are very hard to match.
Seems like you all are treating this as a "PhD Thesis" for a first publication.

but not until nearly 40 had been downloaded.

i also forgot to mention the assistance
you and hubba gave rescaling the drawings.
...very important to the project.
as for the "PhD Thesis"...what can i say,
i'm a long winded old fart.
no surprise there.
small wonder, folks don't look at the readme's
and then, there's No_Dice.
what can i say about that guy?
he's been a major part of this thing
from start to finish.

to see what the resource limit of ad2k is.
i never found it.
that is, in fs2000/cfs2 mode,
which, btw, works fine for cfs1.
i figured, if it works...why not use it?
anyway, i have a few more projects in mind,
but first, i'm working on the 196, version 1.5, upgrade.
it's all top secret, of course.
just got a minor interruption...
the drain line from the washing machine disconnected.
the basement is flooded
it's always somethin'

You will find that everyone that contributes here will spend stupid amounts of time to sort out other members problems, thats what makes this forum great! Its a shame that we don't live near each other so that we could get out for a pint (english speak for a night out with the boys). Still what we can do is guide, positively comment, my personal bugbear is someone pointing out the blatently obvious or provide that snippet of info that eludes us in a project. This we will do unreservedly.

today, while watching the "Cruise of the Secret Raiders" episode
of " Secrets of world War II" on the Military Channel,
i saw an interesting clip. a 196 being catapulted
off the German Commerce Raider Pinguin.
pretty cool to see the real thing in action.

Since you mention commerce raiders:
If Graf Spee had later versions of the Ar 196 or even an earlier bird without all the mechanical issues, it might have survived to return to port. Historically, Graf Spee received the new floatplane with lots of mechanical problems and it was mostly not available when needed for reconaissance.
