AS F-4 Phantom

Took a while....but since all the gauges should be steam/analogue I got rid of the 'digital' displays on the Fuel Q, TAS and TGS.
So here's the RF4-C/E redone....now to update/correct the other panels to suit...;)

So....reading the barrels we're at 4174 feet getting along at 508 TAS or 486 TGS and have 9740 lbs. of juice left...;)

Ah....the more you look the more you find.
It appears the fuel gauge isn't a needle sweep at all...but a rotating disk [bar-graph]...
...so a little more tweaking...

Giving this a friendly bump. :bump:

Jafo seems to be taking a very well deserved break. Meanwhile, I am enjoying hugely the work done so far on RF-4's. Looking forward to the Pack 1 F-4B panels.

Ah....
...the 'break' was/is a go at messing with a Demon....[even less literature than some of the F4 vers]... whilst I rethink the Pack 1 panel/s.

The Pack2 and 3 ones seem OK....maybe a wee bit more debugging before upload [been revising alpha/glass methods]...and while searching for some elusive gauges for the F3 I may find some better choices for the 4s...[my FSX 'collection' is in the hundreds of gigs].
Sometimes the search for the 'perfect/right' gauge means writing it yourself...;)

Back with the 4s....

First task is recompiling the original Pack3 panel upload... It'll be 2 panels, one for model.11 aka RF4B and one for the other 2-radar vers....ostensibly much alike...RF4C/E.

I still have that 1 pixel black line near the top of the VC...but if you squint you don't notice...;)

I have just uploaded the revised [new and improved] Panels [plural] for the 2 radar vers from Pack3.

These [in the one upload] suit the RF4 B, C and E variants as provided in the models:-
panel.RF4E ->
model.1=RF4E
model.4=RF4C
model.6=RF4C
model.9=RF4E2
model.12=RF4B-C Late
panel.RF4B ->
model.11=RF4B Early

Fixed everything I could think of...particularly the AB co-ords ...;)

If you have the original ver...just delete it and add these.....remember to ****..[less pain that way]..;)

Here's the C/E version...

...and the Early B version [it's a wee bit different]...;)

The second 'half' of Pack3's panels has been uploaded.
It's a revision of the earlier upload for the single radar vers aka 'F4M' [FGR].

Has all the corrections/revisions as the RF panels....and suits the models...
model =FGR1
model.2=F4K G1
model.3=FGR2
model.5=F3 UK
model.7=GR2 ANIV
model.8=F4J
model.10=GR2 Early ... all with VCs with a single radar screen.

Here's a pic...;)

Am just finishing preps for the Pack2 panels ....yes, 2 more ...;)

Dave...the only 'aircrew' I ever met weren't 'oddities'...;) They flew the F111 that did the dump and burn etc at the First F1 GrandPrix in Adelaide in 1985...back then the pilot was about to retire from the RAAF after 25 years [including 2 tours of 'Nam]....heck...that's 30 years ago...;)

Anyway...I'm finally done with Pack1 and have uploaded it.
It still has that odd hard-coded bit of edging around the switch panel I removed....again, squinting 'hides' it...;)

Here's what the 2D used to look like...

These are splendid. Thanks Jafo for the impressive upgrade. Can't believe this almost ten year old model can still deliver so many smiles-per-hour!

Thanks Jafo for the Pack 1 panel. I managed to figure out the model 5 issue, if I want a clean config then, I use model 5 (clean).
Only issue for now is in trying to keep the cockpit light to stay on. It comes on for a second or two then goes out. :dizzy:

EDIT:

Fixed.

I managed to fiddle with the lights section to where the cockpit lights come on and stay on for as long as I want.

I had to edit the lights section and /// out one of the line entries and renumber accordingly:

[lights]
light.0 = 4, 19.68, -0.72, 2.60, fx_vclight <<<<< I think this entry cnx out the next line entry some how IMHO.
//light.1 = 4, 14.72, 0.00, 2.60,fx_vclight <<<< I hashed out this one line and now the cockpit light work.
light.1 = 3, -6.80, -19.37, -0.58, fx_navred
light.2 = 3, -6.80, 19.37, -0.58, fx_navgre
light.3 = 3, -11.02, -19.30, -0.72, fx_navredc
light.4 = 3, -11.02, 19.30, -0.72, fx_navgrec
light.5 = 3, -26.77, 0.00, 10.05, fx_navwhi

gray eagle....
I didn't do much/any night flying so missed that issue....;)

It all ended up a bit bigger than expected....1 plane...3 packs....6 panels....12 sets of co-ords to be configured per pixel by trial and error.... kinda drove me bonkers there for a while....;)

But it's 'therapeutic' all the same.

Next in the firing line is the AS F101's ....the search begins for panel pics ...;)

Jafo -is it possible to add your own pop-ups (in the early "fake" entries in the cfg) to your panels?

If you want to set the radio panels, AP, GPS, Radar popups etc to the 'fakes' that'll work so the keyboard shortcuts will load them....just as long as the windows used as layers for the main panel can't be toggled on/off by keystrokes....cos that's when it looks queer...;)
