[Ask] How to change Me163_599 / Me163B cockpit?

Thank you Master BorekS,
I have this in the original Full length program.
Dogfights - Episode 26 Secret Weapons

This "Dogfights" program Has two different events covered for the Me 163b.
I have 4 missions for this (historical) researched
Only 5 missions had any success it seems, but only 16 aircraft were ever able to get into combat.
JG 400 being the most successful unit.

yeah, I have the documentary series stored somewhere at home too, if I good remember :)

as to the missions, I have some books by Mano Ziegler, Wolfgang Spate and some another kind of Komet monography stuff, where is some such related info mentioned, but you could look here too:
http://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/me163.htm

you check the Komet operational carreer at Unit histories section there :)

ok, here is another (short) cgi animation of the Komet common attack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3VjsF_XiCI

a small note: please call me just "BorekS" or "Borek", I dont feel good to be called Master ;)

Thank you very Much, this information will be very helpful.
Grateful for the Me 163b model.
Off to wreck Her some more.
Oh yea!!
:applause: :applause: :applause:

woohoooo...great mission master hobbit !! nice to see those bat flyin through the sky fortress! :D
can you make a big large b-17 like in this pic? sure that would be good challenge for those kometz!
Thanks to all master who make this cfs3 into a complete series!..i feel like playin complete old swotl, their finest hour and sierra aces series !!

Oh yea!! But there are folks still using Older computers whom this would be a Great problem.
I still build most of my Missions on My 7 year old E-machine, so as not to over build them and cause our brothers with the older computers problems.
In my newer Win 7 machine I can place larger numbers of aircraft.
Even have gone to the trouble to upload missions for older/newer computers depending on the speed of your machine you could chose the set that worked the best for your needs.

As more of our Brothers and sisters get newer machines I will continually increase the Aircraft numbers to match the Historical patterns.

I have missions for myself with as many as 120-170 aircraft in the missions. Bomber streams miles long and lots of Fighters Both allied(American) and Axis (German) in the fights.

But these large numbers would Lock up Most machines and cause problems. Really effects FPS when I do missions like this.
Need a modern computer with at least 8 GIG of ram, and a Decent Video card. To fly missions like this.

My ASUS PC Essentio Computer WIN7 with a modern AMD six core processors 3.4 gig and 8 gig of ram just is able to fly the Large missions I have experimented with as it is.

I need a larger Video card (1 gig perhaps) and that would make a big difference I believe..
I have a very small video card installed NVIDIA 320 meg is all.
But it can and does draw ram from the Motherboard as needed, that helps.

CFS3 and the expansions are ram hungry and stress many Low end computers.

Got three Me 163 missions started, all historical. and looking at another two.
Then perhaps a couple of my Hysterical hobbit ones for set this set up.

Busy finishing up my commitments for the ETO team and my brothers there.
Much rejoicing!!

And then a wild run in the Me 163b. Oh yea! Hobbit on the loose.
Keep your eyes open cause this is a nasty little bird.
:applause: :applause: :applause:

120 B-17 bombers intercepted.
A wild ride indeed!!

This looks like fun, when will you be releasing this aircraft for all to enjoy and recognize the work that went into it ?:applause::jump::santahat:

well, there was a plan to release the Komet before this christmas.
a few things needs to do for the external model visuals and a lot for the virtual cockpit yet.
gecko is tweaking the physical model, sounds and effects.
still there is no damage model created yet...

so its higly possible this all will be not achieved in the original time frame. I can work on the stuff when night time only, I am accustomed on such work, but I am getting older so it is starting to be bit grueling :)

anyway, as in my racing simulator add-ons, usually I am releasing before the current add-on some skin paint templates with its own 3d model "showroom" app - this could be the stuff which could get CFS3 Komet fans this christmas...
for the Komet it would be the already released free downloadable minigame, just with updated CFS3 mesh stuff.
the skin maker can rotate and zoom the airplane there, or fly :)

ok, time for some new picture (image editor edited)... just for fun. initial pilot cloth texture by gecko.

"The agressive fuel for the Komets Walter rocket engine required special protective clothing for the pilots. When it comes in contact with most materials, it decomposes and releases oxygen. Very quickly the oxygen content of the air exceeds a level where spontaneous combustion of materials occurs. In contact with skin it has a strong etching effect, similar but much stronger than the 9% hydrogen peroxide to bleach hair.
The pilots wore special overalls to protect them from this agressive fluid. They were made of Mipolan fibers, which is a Dynamit-Nobel brandname for soft PVC. Unfortunately the fluid could penetrate the overall through the seams, and did not offer complete protection."

thanks ;)

well, the paint templates are almost done, so here are first two CFS3 Komet skins (rendered image) which probably will be included in the public release.
I am not decided what for all skins to do yet. I think cca 6 skins could be enough... I would be happy for some user made skins in future :)

thanks :)

ok guys, just some new idea: a did a low poly B-17 model some time ago which could be ported into CFS3 as AI aircraft, I suppose. this way could be maybe possible to get a huge enemy bomber formations for our Komet, with a better game performance, comparing to any other full B-17 add-on...

some images of the low poly B-17 attached (non-CFS3 ingame shots):

New Birds are always welcomed..
Too Cool!!

:applause: :applause: :applause:
With the newer Win 7 /8 computers many are getting now Large formations are very possible.
The AI aircraft in the ETO/MAW PTO Rising Sun expansions are great for this.
I expect with the advent of more members getting newer computers and the older XP machines being replaced.
There will be many large formation missions being developed.
Oh Yea!
The main limiting factor has been the computer speeds for CFS3 and expansions.
The CFS3 game engine does like fast CPU's and Video programs with lot of Ram to run loaded.

yep :)
well, my PC isnt any HAL9000, just a quad cored machine at 3GHz, 4GB RAM with nVidia GTS450 1GB videocard, running
games on WinXP :)))

ok, time for some Me 163B "art" themes maybe - our Komet model with the mentioned lowpoly B-17 scene :)
