Sad, sad news. But, moving on...
Such sad news about Hansi. Best wishes for him, and hopes that the problem turns out to be temporary and frustrating, not permanent and painful.
Tried @vonstroheim's instructions, but I get an "unable to display visual model" error followed by CTD, even after restarts. Like Ralf, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the proper configuration without success, and I'd really like to have a well-used cockpit for our old bird.
Could someone provide step-by-step instructions for those of us among the half of the people in the world that are dumber than the other half?
For starters, in folder "model.C47_1", we change interior=C47R_interior to interior=C47_interior, correct? So it reads
And "model.C47_2", then, should read:
Also, I assume,
I'm confused by the statement,
Thanks in advance for clarifications anyone can offer, and to @vonstroheim for getting us started down the right path.

Also, I assume,
refers to the 2D panel and can be ignored if you never use it, yes?For the panel, it's basically the default DC-3 version...
I'm confused by the statement,
We're working in the C-47 V2 folder aren't we? If so, those files are already there. For this C-47 v1/v2 mix to work, move to your C-47 panel folder the Douglas_C47.dll and C47.CAB gauge files (from Manfred's C-47 V2).
