Hey Willy my computer shut down just a bit ago. Apparently something has gone bad with what I was talking about during the flight. Don't know when I'll be back on.

Ok. Could possibly be the power supply. The CPU heatsink was loaded with dust...cleaned it out...got everything plugged back in...but it won't start up...no.power at all .
 
Sounds like the power supply to me. Been there, done that and got the t-shirt a few times with power supplies.
 
pop the ram and all the cards and reseat them. Have had that cause symptoms of a failing power supply before. Once reseated all was fine.

Thanks for that Matt. While in MP last night I could smell something heating up. A program I have that shows system temps showed that all were well within limits. That, plus the fact that it failed to restart ...I'm hoping its the power supply.
 
Well, unless I had something hooked up wrong it isn't the power supply. Dead as a doornail and so now reality sets in. Motherboard..CPU..all costly items I cannot afford so I am probably done with flight sim. I'm going to have it checked...but it doesn't look good.
 
Ebay as internet second hand virtual store will be a good start
Also don't forget that Google is your friend !
