You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

This is a collection of repaints for the A6M2 Zero made by Acwai for CFS 2. They depict aircraft used by the "junior" carriers of the Kido Butai, Shokaku & Zuikaku.

Thank you for this nice skinpack as well UncleTgt, it's a nice touch to have some skins from before/after the yellow leading edge IFF stripes order. Also the EI-111 is really interesting, from what I read Hideki Shingo was the fighter squadron leader of Shokaku, I guess the yellow spinner is for identification purpose. That's really nice, thank you again UncleTgt :applause:

By the time of Santa Cruz, both Zuikaku & Shokaku were carrying mainly A6M3 type 22's, but a few A6M2 type 21's still remained...

I struggled to find photos that confirm that Shingo was still flying the "old" type 21 by this time, but an Eduard profile showed it as such. I suspect it might be based on the common photo of EI-111 landing aboard Shokaku during Coral Sea, but I went with it anyway, as it's something different looking for the carrier-based A6M2 post-Midway...

Pack 3 now uploaded, featuring land-based A6M2 from the first year of war.

Thank you for this skinpack UncleTgt :applause: (good lord, the current heatwave in France is brutal, 41°C (105,8°F) in my city today, maybe more tomorrow. Can't imagine the hell it must have been during the war only with the weather, in the jungle, etc, damn...)
