[RAFALE] Release

We are pleased to confirm that our Rafale C for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, officially licensed by Dassault Aviation, will be released next week on PC and Xbox.

Built to go far beyond a conventional aircraft add-on, the Rafale delivers a rich and modern simulation experience through a wide range of custom systems, advanced features and interactive elements. It has been designed to offer one of the most complete and engaging modern fighter experiences available in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Designed to remain accessible without sacrificing depth, it includes assistance options, automatic procedures and integrated checklists for new users, while experienced sim pilots will find a detailed and comprehensive modern military aircraft simulation.

Developed over nearly two years, the Rafale is fully native to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and has been built from the ground up around the simulator’s modular aircraft architecture.

The product page is now live on our website, with the complete feature list and a new selection of screenshots: https://azurpolygroup.com/dassault-rafale

The aircraft will be released alongside three optional livery packs, each available separately:
- Rafale C, including 14 liveries: $44.99
- Special Livery Pack, including 6 liveries: $4.99
- Rafale Solo Display Livery Pack, including 9 liveries: $4.99
- Tiger Meet Livery Pack, including 7 liveries: $4.99
- Rafale C Bundle, including the base aircraft and all three livery packs: $49.99

The initial release will be available exclusively through the Microsoft Marketplace. Third-party stores will follow within the next few weeks, with further details and availability dates to be announced separately.

The flight manual is currently being finalized and will be available through our documentation portal, alongside the manuals for our other aircraft.

Please note that the Microsoft Marketplace version allows armament to be displayed but does not include functional weapon capabilities. PC users will be able to enable these features by downloading an additional patch from our website. This patch cannot be installed on Xbox or PS5.

As with our previous aircraft, the Rafale is intended to continue evolving after release. We are already preparing future updates that will bring additional features, improvements and refinements based on our development roadmap and community feedback.

We also hope to begin the PS5 release process soon. We are currently waiting for further instructions from Microsoft before we can proceed.

We can’t wait to see you take to the skies in the Rafale!

Official Licensed Product - DASSAULT Aviation.
Developed by AZURPOLY in cooperation with JFEXP.

Looks like an incredible amount of development has gone into it. I'll be very interested in the reviews, though I'm not sure it's my sort of aircraft.

Update on the way.

Update 1.0.1

One week after the release of our Rafale for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, we would first like to thank all of you for your incredible support!
The response to the aircraft has been extremely positive, and we have received a huge number of comments, screenshots and videos from the community over the past few days. Seeing so many of you enjoying the Rafale after nearly two years of development is incredibly rewarding for the whole team.
🎁

We are also very pleased with the overall stability of the aircraft since release. We have not encountered any major issues, which is particularly satisfying considering the complexity of the aircraft and the number of custom systems running behind the scenes.
At the same time, we are aware of the performance issues reported by some console users, with the Rafale proving particularly demanding in terms of performance in certain situations. These issues did not show up during our internal console testing, but the reports received since release have helped us identify this as one of our main areas of focus. We are already working on additional performance optimizations for the next updates.
This is also a good opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the project. The Rafale has truly been a team effort, and we would especially like to thank JFEXP, Fly and Fight, the pilots who shared their experience and expertise with us, as well as all of our beta testers who spent countless hours testing the aircraft and providing invaluable feedback throughout development. We would also like to thank DASSAULT Aviation for making this officially licensed project possible.
And the story is far from over.
We have always considered this initial release as the foundation on which we can continue building. We have many ideas and exciting new features planned or already in development for the Rafale, and we look forward to gradually expanding the aircraft over the coming months.
For now, this first update focuses primarily on the most noticeable smaller issues identified since release, with many of the fixes and adjustments directly based on feedback received from the community.
We are already working on further fixes and improvements for the next updates, alongside the performance optimizations mentioned above.
Here is the complete changelog for update 1.0.1:

  • External payloads and the smoke system are now synchronized in multiplayer
  • Modified 3D model LODs to improve performance
  • Modified FBW control laws at low speeds to improve aircraft behavior
  • Increased engine responsiveness to throttle inputs
  • Fixed broken flare effects
  • Fixed RPM drop during auto-throttle transitions
  • Fixed broken mirror reflections
  • Fixed tablet being visible in showcase view
  • Increased default exterior camera zoom
  • Added click support for the PM3 (trim) hat switch
  • Increased speed loss during high-G turns
  • Adjusted elevon position with the landing gear extended
  • Fixed missing textures on a few small objects
  • Minor JS performance optimizations
  • Fixed A/A gunsight distance ring

  • Fixed primary goal reticle display
  • Fixed Damocles pod not stowing after use
  • Fixed IPS screen flickering in some cases
  • Corrected the position and size of the Rafale text on the vertical stabilizer
The update should roll out gradually on the Microsoft Marketplace, beginning with PC this week, followed by Xbox & PS5 at the beginning of next week.
Regarding the additional livery packs, we are aware that they are not yet available on PlayStation 5. Livery packs are not yet supported on PS5, and we are currently waiting for further instructions from Microsoft regarding how they can be made available on the platform.
Thank you again for making the first week of the Rafale such a successful one, and stay tuned for what comes next!
