B-17 Accusim Released!!!

Any memphis belle repaints yet? As the former crew chief of the modern one, I'd really appreciate it.

That would be me. I love it Jankees. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

By the way accusim has ruined my simulation. I can't fly with out it. What a terriffic addition.:salute:
A B-17 with accusim will I ever fly another airplane?
 
of course, you can fly the p-47 with accusim...

on another note, how does the new library work?
I uploaded my B-17's, but they are not in the library itself, only under "what's new?".
It says they fall under FSX skins, but can't find them there, nor in the archive (reserved for older paints only?).
Are they in limbo? Can othes (i.e. you guys) download them now?

Here's a simple paint, but with a fun story:

During World War II movie star Edward G. Robinson was asked to name a B-17. He responded that he’d like to name it after his wife, Gladys. That sounded harmless enough but then Robinson went on to explain that it should be called “Happy Bottom” because he called his wife “Glad-Ass!” Whether or not that story is true, is hard to say. But there was a B-17 that flew combat missions in the 532nd BS/381st BGomb Group with that name, and Robinson did name it, on 2 july 1944. Unfortunately, it was lost when it had to ditch in the channel on 16 july...

Jan, this happened to me once before but I do not see you new uploads here at the Outhouse. I checked new items and FSX repaints. Your previous paints are there but not the new ones above. I will keep my eyes open. You are a true artist. I plan to collect them all. Should be great with Matthias FS Recorder.

? why do you suspect such a thing? 'cos they are the same as previously, they were accidentily deleted, so I uploaded again...
were you missing something in one of my paints?

Meanwhile, not all aircraft had names. Here is 44-6542, which flew with the 429th BS/ 2nd BG from Amendola, Italy, with just the serial 542 on the nose. It started life with the 2nd BG in october 1944, and was scrapped at Kingman in december 1945. In the mean time, it had received a replacement tail from a OD 301st B-17, and had made an emergency landing in Yogoslavia on 1 april 1945, after three engines failed. The aircraft was repaired and rejoined the group.
