Anyone have or know where I can get some good B-17 exterior sound files for my WOP version?

I think the interior sounds are awesome but the exterior needs work. It sounds too cheesy to me and lacks that typical radial throatiness.

Take a look under the CFS2 sounds library...I uploaded a B-17 sound pack, based on Lawdog's incredible sound files. I ran his original through 3 wav editors and tweaked them until they bled...the start up sound is very close to the way the B-17s sounded in the movie "Memphis Belle".

Just tried your b-17 sounds and I'm left ... :kilroy:

They definitely sound closer to the movie as far as the startup sequence is concerned. I also just love the shutdown that you gave them...

All in all, I'd say very nice and give it a 4.9/5.0.

Had to compensate a wee bit for the loudness which woke up the cat...:icon_lol:

Sorry about waking the cat...NOT! One thing about the sound packs I "create"...they are loud! My wife calls me Mr. Noisy for a very good reason LOL!

Loud is good. I'm running Creative Labs 6.1 surround and anything with some healthy bass is awesome.

I should've looked there initially. Not sure why I didnt. There are some awesome sound packs in there.

I've been swapping sound files here pretty frequently lately. I'm downloading a whole slew to keep things interesting.
