• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Bad news from the FSx forum; affects us here too

Sad news, Jan Visser has been a stalwart on the scene for .... well, forever - his absence will be keenly felt. And of course this also means we may never see the hard-winged Sabre from Section F8 either.

Jan, if you are looking in at some point, I'd just like to say thank you for the pleasure you have given to me and so many over the years. The name Jan Visser is a byword for quality & excellence, and you raised that bar so many times over the years. I wish you well in whatever you decide to do next! :icon29:

I don't like seeing good folk like Jan leaving the FS arena, but folks come and go, and we all have things that happen, that require our un-divided attention elsewhere. SO a big THANKS for all you have done for the FS Community, and all the best in your future endeavours. You'll be missed, mate.

This is not the kind of news one wants to hear of course. I'm very sorry that Jan has decided to stop his flightsim activities. Without any doubt he has good reasons to do so and we only praise ourselves very happy with his presence and all the knowledge and skills he combined creating the most wonderful flightsim models for us enthousiasts.

Jan, thank you very much for everything and I wish you the very best whatever your further activities and plans are. And please look around the door every now and then.

Hartelijke groeten,
Maarten

When your hobby stops being something you can't wait to get to, it's time to take a break.
But nothing stops you coming back, even as a casual flightsimmer.
And Jan: I hope you'll be around to give advice to wannabe modellers, and perhaps even come up with the odd thing like a pilot figure here and there!

Many thanks for your contributions over the years, flightsim is richer for your efforts.
Now, where's that Sabre gone...:gameon:
